Nothing fancy, but good value,

Peter Tosh's two outstanding studio albums were "Legalize It" and "Equal Rights," released within a year of each other in the mid '70s. This collection features five tracks from each, including most of the best ones (none of the omissions are truly egregious). If you don't own either of the original albums, and your budget is limited, you can't go wrong here.

I usually do not like greatest hits albums at all. Very rarely will I ever even consider buying a "super hits", "Best of", "monster hits", "greatest hits" etc. This album is an exception. I am a huge Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer fan, I always liked Peter Tosh but never really gave him the chance that he so much deserves. After hearing his music at a party I have decided to grab a quick cheap album. What I got was a whole lot more. I am now officially hooked on the music that Mr. Tosh has made. This is a great starter album for someone wh is interested in Peter Tosh or even if you own all his cds and you don't feel like having a zillion cds in your car then buy this one. These great treasures on this cd prove that Peter Tosh is just as relevant at Bob Marley and the rest of the Wailers. I recommend this cd to anyone who enjoys reggae, Bob Marley, Wailers, or just great chill music in general. Rest in Peace Peter Tosh, and thank you.- Juvie-D |
