This is a great C.D. from Ted Nugent that has many great hits that you should really want for such a very low price. If you go to blockbuster and try to buy this C.D., you wont find it, and even if you do find it you could buy this C.D. and another C.D. from Amazon for the same price as the one Ted Nugent C.D. Don't miss this deal or you upset yourself and the badger.

Not being around for the first flourishing of the Nuge I picked up this collection for the purpose of hopefully gathering a range of his music as a sort of primer, hoping for a window into his back catalogue. And certainly there are a range of the mans hits on this 'super hits' package and the disc focusses on what is probably his most productive golden period of the second half of the 70's.

However that is also part of the problem. With liner notes that are barely two paragraphs and totally minimalist booklet/presentation and with such a narrow window of his catalogue being addressed the usefulness of this release is certainly diminished. Apart from the hits the music is good and solid toe tapping 70's rock with a full body and cool riffs and solos. So it's definitely worthy stuff but my take is that there must be better greatest hits packages out there (I got this from a delete bin on a whim) and I will have to seek out one of them for a more anthology like product to bring me up to speed with this influential and loud mouthed rock icon.

For what I paid for it this was a reasonable buy and like I said, the music is good. But the overall feel is of a story only half told. A sturdy four stars but not into the uncouth realms of posterior pounding.
