Product Description

Super Lube Grease is a patented synthetic, multi-purpose lubricant with Syncolon (PTFE). Synthetic base fluids and the addition of PTFE micro powders combine to form a premium lubricant that provides protection against friction, wear, rust and corrosion over a temperature range of -45°F to +450°F. Super Lube Grease is a USDA/NSF listed Food Grade lubricant NLGI-2, rated H-1 for incidental food contact, and will not run, drip, melt or separate. Compatible with most other lubricants, Super Lube outlasts conventional greases 3–4 times.

Had to take a moment and review this grease, which, definitely is the best I've ever encountered. It contains PTFE (Teflon), and is non-toxic. I've tried Teflon "oils" which were highly recommended, but didn't work any better than any of the other grease and lubricants evaluated, but this grease REALLY is effective! (EFFECTIVE, End-Of-Story!).

I'm going to use it to grease my sinks faucet valves, on the aquarium pumps, and anywhere else a non-toxic grease is important. I recently used it on my pizza oven's "drawer slide", it cured the extreme sticking perfectly. It's stable and doesn't "run" up to 650 deg. if I recall correctly, it is great in kitchen ovens!!

Sounds crazy, but, one of the harshest applications for a lubricant is on high quality "precision" roller skate bearings. These can be extremely expensive, and have faces which can be opened for cleaning and lubrication, and they really have a way of "testing" the lubrication properties of grease, etc. I had tried every type of grease and oil available with unsatisfactory results........until I tried SUPER LUBE, it REALLY, REALLY worked when all others failed. Since then I use Super Lube "across the boards" on everything. I have all the different sizes, it's great the way it performs in very cold or hot environments. (I came across an advertisement for it while searching for an OEM silicone lubricant for Aquarium filter O-rings, this Fluval G6 filter costs over $300, non-toxic Super-Lube should work just great!).

This is the most incredibly effective lubricant available, I couldn't recommend it highly enough. If you have a "top priority" really important lubrication requirement use SUPER LUBE and you can be sure you've applied the most effective protection available!

This is a bit of a response to the one negative, and vague, review this product has received.

I have experience with Panef White Lithium grease, Sta Lube Moly Graph Lithium grease, various "marine grade" wheel bearing greases, and a host of others plus anti-seize products from my years of working on bicycles and professionally on motorcycles.

There are several problems in dealing with greases:
1. For most home users, greases are sold in quantities so large that if you buy something you don't like, you end up keeping it and using it, anyways, because you don't want to throw out a tub of usable grease. Translation: finding the right grease can be costly and problematic when you only use a couple tablespoonfuls a year.
2. Greases come in a bewildering array of thicknesses and types. What works good for one application will not necessarily work good for another application. Marine grade greases are uber-thick and work great for motorcycle steering head bearings and suspension pivots but are inappropriate for a bicycle wheel hub bearing.

Having said all this, I have been very impressed with Super Lube's synthetic grease. I use it extensively on my bicycle and have found that it is extremely versatile: it is thick enough for head bearings but thin and smooth enough for an air shock canister seal. It is also incredibly durable. I have used it on my wheel hubs (cup, cone, and loose bearing arrangements) and after a season of riding it is as clean and consistent in thickness as when I first installed it. That is an anomaly. The Panef and Sta Lube greases mentioned above show major deterioration after a couple months.

Bottom line: if you need one grease that you will be very happy with this is the one to get.

I bought this because my previous go-to lube (WD40) wasn't going to cut it for delicate electronics; it's not accurate when applying nor is it really a lubricant. My high-end aluminum bodied flashlights were not threading smoothly. I cleaned the threads with alcohol and a cotton swab and then applied Super Lube. It's very thick; thicker than toothpaste. I just smeared it around with my finger to coat the o-rings and threads. Now my lights are happy and quiet when I change their batteries. Highly recommend, but be aware that it is very thick and would be hard to push into a small space.

As a bit of trivia, this is the exact same lubricant that the tool truck brands use to lubricate their ratchets from the factory. They also distribute packets of 'Super Lube' with their ratchet repair kits, and with good reason: This stuff is amazingly good for that purpose.

For starters, it has just the right viscosity and doesn't seep out of the ratchets, even the non-sealed ones, like an oil would. It also goes on clear, so it doesn't leave a nasty buildup or obscure the parts inside the ratchets. Keeps everything looking clean and makes it easier to maintain and rebuild them as necessary. It works well with coarse as well as fine tooth ratchets, because you really only need a very thin layer of this lubricant for it to do its job.

Try using a thicker grease with a fine tooth ratchet and you will gum it up completely and it will stop working properly or switch directions on you. This stuff works in high end 80 tooth ratchets as well as older 24 and 36 tooth models. It works equally well on round head and pear shaped ratchets and I've had no issues lubing up either one with it. You will be amazed at how smooth and functional a dry ratchet becomes when you refresh it with this stuff.

For the cheap price, you can get enough of this to last you years, given the small amount you need to apply, at least in terms of ratchets. I bought a tube and threw it into a drawer with my ratchet repair kits and spare parts. It's the only thing I use in all my ratchets and I've never once had a problem from using. I love this stuff and I can see exactly why the OEMs are using it when they put brand new ratchets out from the factory. I cannot recommend this enough for use in ratchets. Try some and you'll never go back!
