This dvd is great for those who want to get thier hands on some of the old episodes from this show since they are so rare. Most of these episodes for the exception of NEVER KOOP A KOOPA have never been released previously. This was a nice treat.

This DVD contains six episodes of "Super Mario Bros. 3" the original animated adventures of 1990. Not to be confused with the Super Mario Bros. Super Show from the late 80's which had live action Mario and Luigi as real people along with the cartoon. There is no live action on "Super Mario Bros. 3"

These are not full episodes. Full episodes are usually around 21 minutes long. These episodes are eleven minutes long. Which means that this DVD is more like (3) full episodes. Which adds up to a little more than an hour on this DVD for Super Mario Bros.

The Bonus episode is (1) episode of Sonic Underground. This is a full 21 minute episode. I would of rather had another episode of Mario though.

This DVD is made by DIC ENTERTAINMENT and didn't get sold here until I wrote to them back in July.

If you like the Super Mario Bros. cartoons then buy it. Or if you rather have the Super Show episodes then buy Mario Mania.
As for the quality for this DVD.
-The sound is good!
-The look is good!
-And there is really nothing bad about this DVD at all!

Hopefully in the future more DVD's will be released (like Super Mario World) but I recommend this for the true super fans of the SUPER MARIO BROS.

wow that brings me back to when i was only like 7 or 8... My life used to REVOLVE around MARIO time. Every afternoon at 3:30 pm SHARP.

And now that these precious relics of my childhood innocence are kept safe and treasured i can rest easy.

you want your kid to shut up? finally? buy em super mario, appropriate for ages 7+! And its educational old school cartoon fun. (How to koop-a-koopa 101 of course!)

All of the episodes that they chose for this dvd are great. I hope that Dic entertainment puts more of these out. I'm greatful that these are coming to dvd. I have but one small complaint though. They replaced two of the voice actors and kept two of the original ones from the "Super Mario Bros. Super show." For Mario they have Boom boom Walker. And for Luigi they have Tony Rizato. Bad move on that one. Still the cartoons aren't all that bad dispite the two main charactors voice changes. My favorite episode is "Koopas in the rose garden." Koopa's daughter Koodie wants America for her birthday and she gets it. Want to know how it ends? Watch it! Very funny for all to sit around and watch.

I'm giving this 5 stars for the cartoon, but not the DVD. RELEASE YOUR CARTOONS IN BOX SETS!
I don't want to have to keep saying that, and I'm sure that there are a few thousand other people who feel the same way.
We want them in order. Come on, stop screwing us around.

when i purchased this, i thought it was something else. i made my 3 year old watch it, and that was it.

I think that the Super Mario Bros. are a really good show even though it wasn't in my days. Those of you that are gonna' buy this DVD should know that the episodes are named "Reptiles in the Rose Garden," "Sneaky Lying Cheating Giant Ninja Koopas," "The Beauty of Kootie," "Toddler Terrors of Time Travel," Reign Storm," and "Never Koop a Koopa." I really liked all of the episodes and my favorite is "The Beauty of Kootie." If you buy this DVD I hope you like it, too! Also, it contains a bonus episode of "Sonic Underground." And the name of that episode is "Sonic Tonic." That's a good one, too!!!

We got this DVD in a cereal box offer. When we got home it was strange at first but now we think it is great!!! There are a few cut corners and coloring problems such as Luigi turning red. Also Maro and Luigi don't sound Italian at all. Bowser's wands and the parrot also change colors. It is still a great DVD though!!!! We are now hooked on Super Mario Bros. 3 videos and video games. You should get this wonderful DVD!!!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are looking @ this then you or your child must be a mario fan! Wondering if you should get it? Well,let's put it this way. It's Mario, It's Dvd, and its cartoons. So you should not hesitate and get the dvd. My son is 8 yrs. old and loves all animated Mario cartoons. Dvd is the newest... so its a great gift for a child who loves to collect mario stuff. Definately go for Mario stuff. Your child will love this if he/she loves Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Toad, Princess Peach, ect... Great 90 minutes action for parties, ect..

This dvd contains 6 episodes of super mario bros3 cartoon.
The animation look more like a videogame than a cartoon.Although its nice it still remain second best to the original super mario cartoon but if you like it,then buy it
