I've been looking for a decent Bowser plushie for awhile. I happened to come across this. Upon first glance at the picture, I thought to myself "Hmm, it looks way better than every Bowser plushie I've seen, but I still don't like the way it looks". I then saw the price and said "bleh". Yet somehow, I decided to order it.

Upon receiving it, I am COMPLETELY happy with this - This is best Bowser plushie I've ever seen, and one of my top favorites out of all of my plushies in general. The picture doesn't do much justice at all, it looks SO much better in person. The detail on the plushie is awesome - the eyebrows, the spikes, the claws, and even the teeth; yet, despite the level of detail, it still manages to keep an extra soft feel to it while not being too stiff. The plushie is quite big as well - as Bowser should be :). It stands around 10 inches tall, but is also pretty wide, so you're not getting some skimpy little doll (like the other Bowsers I've seen.) He even manages to balance fine on both feet, which makes for a great display. I HIGHLY recommend this plushie if you're thinking of getting a Bowser plushie. While it may be slightly more expensive, the quality you're getting is completely justified.

Super Mario Plush - 10" Bowser Soft Stuffed Plush Toy

I bought my Bowser plush from Accessories Specialty Store since it offered the best price at the time. However, upon receiving the plush, I noticed that what I had in hand and what was shown on the website were two different toys.

I corresponded with one of the customer service employees about the wrong item. I explained how the Bowser plush they sent did not look anything like the one pictured on the website. At this point, the employee told me I could receive a complete refund by returning the Bowser or I could receive a discounted price.

I really wanted neither of those choices, since I was more concerned with receiving the Bowser I paid for. So, I asked if I could simply return the Bowser plush and receive the correct one. After several more E-mails, I was later told that the Bowser I had received was the only type of Bowser Accessories Specialty Store carried. I was still offered the complete refund, but at this point, returning the Bowser for 20 bucks seemed to be a waste in my opinion.

This all said, the Bowser I did receive looks like this:

It's not bad for a typical factory plush I suppose, but it's definitely not up to the quality I was seeking to receive when I first purchased the Bowser from Accessories Specialty Store. Bowser's cuffs seem hastily glued and some of the stitching is off in places, giving the entire doll a somewhat slapped-together appearance.


I guess what I'm getting at here is that Accessories Specialty Store does not carry the type of Bowser pictured in the original page. Super Mario Plush - 10" Bowser Soft Stuffed Plush Toy

Despite having delivered a completely incorrect and (in my opinion) inferior plush, Accessories Specialty Store did try to make up for the issue with the refund and discounted price, but these options became much more of a hassle to go through than to just keep the plush and gift it to my little sibling.

My brothers and I bought this Bowser for our Mario Plush collection. It's the best! It is very durable - it hasn't ripped yet and I've had it for a while. It is very soft, because it's made out of the material on all San-ei plushes. He's the perfect villain when paired up with Bowser Jr. This plush is very detailed and looks almost exactly like Bowser. Most other Bowsers are made of a cheap, felty, UFO Catcher type material and don't look much like the character at al. This is way better. I would actually recommend every San-ei plushie. They all look better than every other plush of them.
