Book Description

June 30, 1997
When's the last time you lost your keys, forgot what you were saying when somebody interrupted, couldn't recall the name of the person you were talking to, or looked at a word you use all the time and thought it was spelled funny? If you'd like to gain better access to the database known as your brain, you'll love this guide, which uses the latest and most successful breakthroughs in the study of memory. The techniques are based on the fact that most of the time the facts you've "forgotten" actually are stored away in your brain; the trick is to know where you filed them. Try these simple exercises designed to use what works best for your particular personality. 320 pages 5 1/4 x 8 1/2.

1.0 out of 5 stars Remember not to buy this book, June 11, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Super Memory: A Quick-Action Program for Memory Improvement (Paperback)
It is certainly not worth its price. I was discouraged when I realized I couldn't return mine because I unfortunately filled out a small survey towards the beginning of the book in pen. The book is 270 pages of common sense. The author dwells on things that have no relation to developing a better memory. An entire chapter is devoted to making it clear that when we forget something people don't like us. Another on how eating nutritious foods and exercising is good for memory. Another chapter simply reaffirms us that we should trust our memory, as if we needed a boost of self confidence. More common sense taking a totally neutral stance, a little stress is good but not too much! a little coffee is okay but not too much! etc. I'm sure you can find something better, good luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very thorough book on memory techniques, December 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Super Memory: A Quick-Action Program for Memory Improvement (Paperback)
I've examined many memory-improvement books out there in the market. This book by far is the best-organized , and also the most complete. You can waste your money buying more fancy books or tapes on the subject, or you can save money by buying this book that summarizes all the known techniques in a very useful way. I strongly disagree with the previous reviewer on his assessment of this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Impractical, August 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Super Memory: A Quick-Action Program for Memory Improvement (Paperback)
The ideas given in Super Memory are impractical. It introduces many memory aids for your mind. Yet, if you really think about it, instead of remembering these memory aids to remember things, then why don't you just write it down? His book does not teach you how to memorize a list of 100 very random characters like some other books. This book is worth skimming -- in your spare time. I rate it 2 stars.
