I use this dust house for my chinchillas. They do not chew it, however, if you buy this product please, please watch your chinchillas and see if they chew it. Plastic is very harmful for their insides and will really make them sick. Supervision is key when you introduce this product. I noticed it had some nice hooks on the back to mount it high in the cage, however, after a few weeks, one of the hooks broke off. A good product to buy, but best if you watch them use it.

i have 5 chins so i have 3 of these and they all love them. i wouldn't buy anything else to give them a bath in. they contain the dust great. wish they weren't plastic but i can't complain as my boys aren't.

i was trying to look for solution because whenever Sam takes his sand bath, dust would fly up and coat everything. a lot of work. i can't guarantee you that there will be no mess at all, because dust residue does cling on their coats so it will fly and settle else where if their scratch themselves or whatever. but it certainly helps a lot, and i dont mind letting him play in it the bath house often, because theres no cleaning hassle.

I used to use a bowl for dusting because I wanted to watch my chin dust- however, the dust flying everywhere was always a problem! I finally caved and bought the bath house, and I've got to say, it does work much better. It keeps the dust in and the rounded bottom makes it easy for my chin to roll around happily.

A note about chewing: some chins chew hard plastic, others do not. However, no bath house should be kept in the chin's cage at all times; only during bath time a couple of times a week. If you have a chin who chews plastic, I doubt you'd have a problem using a plastic bath house. After all, any chin presented with the option of chewing vs. dusting will always choose the dust!

Also, plastic will more often than not pass through a chin's system just like anything else. It's just not a good idea to keep them around it if they chew, that's all. I recommend this product.

Our two baby girls love it! We could spend endless amount of time watching them having fun rolling around in their bath. The only downside of the item is the price, but its a MUST HAVE. You will not be disappointed!

I've tried various ways of letting our two chinchillas bathe without dust getting everywhere or having to constantly refill it. This fits the bill. My only issue with it is our female sometimes has a rough time getting in as the door is a tad small as far as she's concerned.

Lasted a couple of years before the hooks that connected it to the cage broke. I mostly used the hooks for stabilizing while it was resting on something, but I did sometimes hang it completely on the hooks. It's annoying not having them now because the house ends up all over the place now. Otherwise worked well. My chin likes it better when the flat side down though.

product was as advertised, but I sure wish I could pick the color. The size is big enough for a adult chinchilla and they sure don't care about the color

I was skeptical about purchasing a dust house for my two degus but found out its perfect for them! They love to dust themselves and I love that it can hang on the cage! Also came in purple and matches my flying saucer!

I purchased the Super Pet Chinchilla Bath House for my Degu. She loves it. Very large and durable. I like how it hooks onto the cage.
