the ball was supposed to b pink but they sent me blue, as far as i know i had payed extra for pink. My hampster died the day before i got the ball so i havnt been able to use it yet.but as soon as i get another i will let u know how it works, got here on time.

Great "run about" ball for my kid's hamster - our ball is in blue. This is our second ball - hamster chewed off plastic on the 1st one and the lid wouldn't stay on. Use scotch tape to seal the lid when little critter is in the ball (from personal experience - lid came off and hamster was on the REAL "run about" few times and we are not taking any chances anymore!)

This hamster ball does what it needs to do- keep the hamster safe, stay closed, and allow the right ammount of air into it.

But do you know what else it does? Completely torture the hamster.

If you have one already, hold it still with the hamster in it. All he/she does is try to climb up the sides and escape, right? But when moving, the hamster is trapped. They can't see well, so it's not like he/she is going to be able to get down a hall without hitting a wall. And when they do hit a wall, they can flip inside the ball, and get hurt.

So maybe this colorful ball does more than you know about.....
