I bought this product for my bunny a few days ago, and he LOVES it. I shaped it into an arch and put a piece of granite underneath (to keep him cool, as it's summer), and he now naps there almost exclusively. I've seen him gnaw at this, so I know he'll chew it more as time goes on, but so far he mostly sleeps under it or hops through, rather than chews it. Also, I love that you can shape this into different things, so that if my rabbit gets bored with the arch, I can make it into something else. Excellent, excellent product!

This is a great hideout for chinchillas. I have four very very spoiled chinchillas and this is the only kind I will get. Wire cages, although easier to clean, much more sanitary, and harder to chew apart, will lead to arthritis in a chinchilla's feet. Since they spend a lot of the time cuddling inside the hideouts (because they are a pray animal) the hideout should definitely have a solid base allowing them to rest their feet. This is the only product that i have found that can be made into a hideout (by curling it into a 3/4 circle and laying it on its side -- open part is to the side NOT the bottom) with a solid base. Using the Fiddlesticks like this also keeps them from getting stuck in small openings in other hideouts since it is slightly flexible and has the open side allowing them to pry it open if need be but at the same time it is sturdy enough that it doesn't collapse onto a chinchilla inside if the other decides to jump on the top of the hideout. I will also not buy any plastic hideouts because they will chew and ingest the plastic which isn't healthy. The wood is great for keeping their teeth filed as well (although I found I have to replace this product every 3 months or so because they will chew through the logs and leave the metal that allows the product to bend exposed. I wish that the aforementioned metal, which does only show after they have chewed a log off, was not metal because I worry that they will hurt themselves on it, however replacing the product solves this problem. I have been hard pressed to find this size of Super Pet Tropical Fiddle Sticks Hideout on any on-line pet site and they are rare to find in stores. There are smaller sizes, however, if using the product such as I am as a hideout (especially if you want to fit two full grown chinchillas in them allowing them to cuddle -- which is not only adorable but socially healthy for them) I would not get any size other than the large. Even one chinchilla is a little big for the medium hideout. And you have to love the fun colors :) I swear by this product and you will too!

This is an awesome toy for any bigger rodent! My chinchilla loves playing in it. It's flexible and easy to bend into any shape you want. I have mine shaped into a hideaway. My chinchilla also loves gnawing on it!

I have a Holland Lop that just loves this hideout. For the most part this is where he stays throughout the day. It serves its purpose as both a hideout and a chew stick. He does quite a bit of gnawing on it to help wear down his teeth. I love the fact that you can bend it into many different forms. I would definitely purchase another one!

I recently bought this at a pet store for a comparable price after tax. My chinchillas love it! I like it because it is a natural material so when they chew on it I don't have to worry they are going to get sick. It is in the shape of a tunnel and my chins spend all day in it or on it. It is a good size... we have two chins and they both fit in it. I will most likely buy from amazon the next time because the store I found this at barely saves any money and is out of town.

Way bigger than I thought. My guinea pigs are small now but will be able to play with this wonderful toy for a long time to come. They love new toys I change the shape they go crazy. They think it's a brand new toy!!

Good product. I use it for my large Cubes-and-Coroplast guinea pig cage http://is.gd/d3KIS . It is large enough for my big guinea pigs. The medium and small sized fiddlesticks are usable for smaller pigs too but are not as versatile--they are too small for the piggies to fit under. This large fiddlesticks, on the other hand, can be used as a tunnel, a bridge, a hidey, a loft platform (with the sides bent at 90deg instead of rounded as for the tunnel), a space divider (up on its side, bent wavy) or a ramp. Very versatile item, and my piggies enjoy exploring it in various shapes. It is good to change around their cage furniture frequently to keep them exploring. Guinea pigs see in color so this item is visually stimulating for them. I like that it is a natural wood product with non-toxic color.

I bought this product and got it very fast. And my two bunnies love it! If they did'nt have it...I am pretty sure they would not live! (hahahahah)...Well if u have rabbits you should get this product!!! it is the best thing I have in my bunnies hutch!!! BUY IT!

This is a multitasker. Max, my chinny, likes it as a house, a hiding place, as something to jump over and on, and as a chew toy. This hideout helps keep him entertained and healthy. I was surprised at how large the hideout is, but when I started creating shapes, I was glad.

My rabbits love this! Originally I would make different shapes out of it each day and they would get curious to try and figure it out. Eventually I settled on making it a ramp to get into their cage (they are free-roam) because they have a 3-4" jump to get into it. They run up and down on it, chew on it, run under it to hide, etc.

The 4 stars is because you have to be careful with this on carpet. A little water and the dye will cause a stain that is pretty hard to remove.
