I bought two books to help get my son more comfortable with going #2 on the potty--he will only go #2 in a diaper. I purchased two books for this endeavor. I loved the first book (I Can't, I Won't, No Way!), as it seemed to relate to my son's exact issue. So, when I read this book, I was not terribly impressed--as an adult, it seems somewhat silly and irrelevant.

Well, to my surprise, it really struck a chord with my 3-year old son. He asked me to read it again. I think he asked me to read it about four times that first night. Even more to my surprise, the very next morning, he went #2 in the potty, all by himself! He didn't ask for our help or anything. He just surprised us by being half-naked at wake-up time and there was a special surprise in the potty!

He then asked me to read the book a few times that morning and again at bedtime that night. I'm not sure what it is about the book, maybe it's the hero aspect, maybe it's the silly name--who knows, but I sure hope this trend sticks with my son.

This book is pretty simple, but that's perhaps its virtue. The title "Super Pooper" is repeated throughout the text, leading the child -- specifically my son -- to say it, too. Now, he also wants to be a "super pooper," which is exactly what parents want to hear when trying to potty train. Not a lot of plot, but the phrase "super pooper" was worth the purchase. We also like the animals fainting from the smell of dirty diapers. It's cute.

My wife bought this book, along with some others, in hopes to get our daughter to take a dump in the toilet. We have been fighting with her on getting potty trained, and so figured that reading to her whilst she sits on the pot would be a good idea. This book has been a great tool in helping our daughter to learn that pooping in the toilet is good, and that she can be a super pooper also. I have issued a challenge to her to see if she can out poop me, so far I am winning. Some day my little one, some day...

My son learned how to go #1 in the potty decently early, so we were hopeful that maybe he would get the whole #2 business just as well. Not so. After months of frustration and washing endless pairs of underwear, we purchased this book on a whim. What did we have to lose, right? Well, if only I had bought this sooner. We read this book ONE time, and something just clicked - my son started going #2 in the potty almost on que. It's been nearly 4 months now, and he still refers to himself as a super pooper on a daily basis. I'm not kidding. We have cut accidents down from about 5 per week to maybe 1-2 per month.

The book is a very fast read, and the content is presented in a way that is easy to understand from a 2 or 3 year old's perspective. Based on my own experience with the book, it's easy for kiddos to picture themselves as the hero of the story - my son seemed to rally behind Jared immediately!

If you are a parent at their wits end trying to potty train your toddler, give this book a shot. Highly recommended!

We have struggled with our four and a half year old son with potty training. I thought for certain he was going to be going to college pooping in his pants. Well, upon desperation I search for a book, that might encourage him. This did it! No kidding. Between this book and Everyone Poops, THE NEXT DAY, he began going on the potty. Coincidence? I think not!

My two year old likes the book. Wouldn't buy it used though, as it has needed cleaning more than once at our house.

So cute and the bright colors really grab my daughter's attention. We are going through potty training and she constantly requests this book. I bought this book on a whim and have been pleasantly surprised at how much my little girl loves it!
