meplaySuper R.C. Pro-Am is a racing video game that is similar to its predecessor, R.C. Pro-Am, for the NES. In the game, players race remote control cars on a series of tracks. It can be played solo, with two-players via the Game Link Cable, or with three or four players via the Four Player Adapter. The game features 24 different tracks of increasing difficulty, and the object is to finish in the top three in order to qualify to race in the next track. Players who do not finish in the top three may use a continue and retry the track; players get three continues, and the game ends when the player fails to finish in the top three and has no continues remaining.[1] The 1st place player is about to collect the letter "E" to try to spell "Nintendo".Each track is different and range from standard ovals to tracks with many twists and turns. The game includes many obstacles, such as oil slicks that send players spinning, puddles of water that cause players to slide out of control, sand traps and "slow cones" that slow players down, large cones that bring players to a complete halt, and walls of tires that players bounce off. If a player hits an oil slick and then hits a wall while spinning, the player's car is temporarily destroyed, which loses time. The tracks also has items that help players along the way: "zippers" (a series of chevrons on the track) give players a speed boost, roll cages allow players to hit walls without being destroyed and allow them to crash opponents by forcing them into walls, and missiles and bombs temporarily destroy opponents' cars. Also on the track are spare parts which help improve performance-tires improve traction, batteries increase acceleration, and engines improve speed.[1] Players have the opportunity to upgrade their vehicles by collecting letters, which are distributed throughout the tracks.

A must have for any Original Nintendo Owner. I haven't seen this game in well over a decade but it's just as much fun now as it was when I was a kid! Too bad I can't find the cheat codes ;)

For those of you who grew up playing the classic NES title R.C. Pro-AM, this game is for you. No doubt many fans of that game knew about this Game Boy version as it was just as good. Released in 1991, Super R.C. Pro-A.M. was either a sequel or a port of the NES game. It doesn't matter really because it followed the same rules and featured the same game mechanics, power ups and items but with different tracks.

You race around 24 tracks against 3 computer controlled cars. You had to place at least 3rd to continue to the next track. You can increase the performance of your care by collecting parts scattered on the tracks. The game also lets you grabs weapons and ammo to use against the other cars. There are roll cages that can be used for brief invincibility by anyone and if you spell out the word "Nintendo", you were rewarded with an upgraded car. If you place 4th, you were given 3 continues but if you use them all without beating it, the game's over.

The PROS: This is exactly like playing R.C. Pro-AM on the NES but in a portable version. It's not a bad thing at all and the tracks are brand new. It will keep you busy as the game gave you enough of a challenge and without a password system or battery backed saves, you had to beat it in one sitting. One thing this game had that wasn't on the NES title was 2 player co op support. You and another player could connect Game Boys via the cable link and tackle the tracks together.

The CONS: As I said before, other than the new tracks, there isn't much of a difference between this game and R.C. Pro-AM.

This game was made for the fans of the classic NES title and it showed. A portable RC Pro-AM game was exactly what gamers wanted and it sold well enough to be a players choice title. It was worth buying and is a good choice if someone wanted to experience some retro racing.
