The ever-popular Super Robot Wars franchise gets its latest iteration on the Nintendo DS. Super Robot Wars W brings the expected gameplay from the long-running turn-based strategy series and combines them with some new innovations. As usual, players control an army of robots, drawn from such popular licensed properties as Getter Robo G, Shin Getter Robo, Mazinkaiser, Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Gundam SEED, Tekkaman Blade, Full Metal Panic, and Martian Successor Nadesico, among others. New to the Super Robot Wars family are robots from Detonator Orgun and Voltron (a.k.a. Golion), as well as numerous sequel series like Gundam SEED Astray and Tekkaman Blade II.
