5.0 out of 5 stars Approved by son's teacher
My son's violin teacher seemed to have to remind my son to "fix" his bow grip throughout his lesson. I saw this product and it seemed like it would be worth a try. At today's lesson his teacher was so impressed that she is going to make it a requirement that all of her students get one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not much help...
I bought it for my 2 daughters ages: 10 and 7 who stared violin lessons this month. They need constant reminder of how to hold the bow so I had great hopes for this device helping them keep their fingers in the right spots and at the correct angles etc, and not to have to constantly remind them to hold the bow right....
However, this made them both uncomfortable...

However, this made them both uncomfortable and at the same time didn't help with the bow hold. They sound much better without this "help" also. The grip made their bow lean way too much forward and nice sound turns really terribly squeaky. We went back to me watching them and nagging every few minutes, but they bow better, sound better, and hopefully I won't have to nag too long. They have been playing for little over a week only practicing 20-30 min per day. I hope they master the bow hold soon with my reminders, but without this rubbery bowmaster. Maybe it also depends on a kid, some might like it and their hands might be doing better with it... but for what you get, it should be priced much much lower (couple bucks at most!)
