Super Size Bubble Wand by Little Kids

This colorful wand makes huges bubbles (buy good bubble solution - not the super cheap stuff) or learn to make your own solution. Toys R Us brand (made by Tootsie Toy) is very good. We bought two of these wands. One of them didnt work right (the handle had something wrong with it), but we exchanged it and the new one is fine. Small children can learn colors from the wand and the bubbles will show a rainbow color in the actual bubble. Science principles can be taught too. Small children who dont have the muscle skills in their mouths yet to blow a traditional small wand can still make big bubbles by slowly waving the wand. On a day with a slight breeze, the wind does the work. Having success making great bubbles is good esteem builder for small kids. Bubbles were instrumental in helping my son with autism develop speech and and language skills and he always meets other kids and develops social skills of sharing/playing with others when we take these to the playground at our local park. If someone is in a bad mood or having a tough day - get out the bubbles. It's tough to be upset while doing bubbles. I keep a small bottle on my desk at work and some in the car for when we get stuck in traffic!

My 3 year old daughter and I have no problem making good size bubbles with this wand. The design is nice, it snap back easily for storage and the color is nice. However, after using it twice, the plastic hoop at the snapping piece and the stick is twisted. This makes the hoop to be wailing back and forth even though it was snap in place. It makes the wand impossible to make bubble by waving. My daughter was frustrated. I eventually went with some cheap plactic wands that do not have the fancy mechanism and they are extremely durable with many abusive use from a little child. I don't recommend this wand.

I ordered this toy for my two-year-old daughter because she has trouble with other giant bubble making toys. I thought it would be easy for her. It wasn't. The loop on the wand is supposed to "click" into place so that they can dip the wand in the tray. Well, it "clicks" into place... and clicks back out as soon as they lift it to make the bubbles, thus wasting the solution, hence, no bubbles. Neither my daughter nor I could get this thing to work. We were both very disappointed. We tried swishing it...nothing. On the upside, she likes to twirl the wand around and look at all the different colors on it. It is educational in that she is learning her colors by playing with it.

I've read the other reviews...as I was skimming the website to order another of these wands. Guess you folks had a bad batch of wands, because my son is crazy about his. We gave it to him shortly after his 2nd birthday, and it's one of his favorite toys! Yes, it is messy...it's a giant bubble wand...when was the last time you played bubbles that there wasn't a mess? But if you keep it out doors, I don't see the problem. My son was able to make bubbles right away (something he wasn't able to do with smaller wands since he can't seem to blow (he sucks air in instead of out). His father and I played for over an hour with this wand...taking turns making the bubbles and letting him pop them (and vice versa). I don't know why the other folks had some difficulty...but I would highly recommend this toy for a 2-3 year old.

GO with the Gazillon products... they work better and easier clean up too. This dripped like crazy and made BIG mess.

I found the toy to be a waste of money. My daughter is 4 years old and loves to play with bubbles. It was difficult for her and also myself and her grandmother. We all gave it a shot and we failed to make bubbles. Now it lays outside and she never played with it again.

We had this product for 4 years before it finally gave out. Just ordered 2 more and they are as fun as ever. Giant bubbles. Especially great if you use miracle bubble solution w/it. A must buy!!
