Great stuff, here's how you use it,

I keep one of these kits in the case of each of my playing trombones (I have a couple I display). This stuff works GREAT on two conditions. First, your slide needs to be in good shape, that means tubes are round, perfectly parallel, not torqued and CLEAN. Second is that you use it properly and here is how:1. Remove outer slide and wipe down the inner slide tubes 2. Apply a small dab (maybe a pinky nail size) on each stocking and spread it nice and thin (on the stocking only - that's the slightly raised part on the ends). 3. Put one outer tube on the inner slide and work it back and forth twisting the slide (gently!) to distribute it evenly to the inside of the outer slide tube; repeat for the other tube. 4. Put ONE drop of the silicon (small bottle) on each stocking and repeat the above process. 5. Now - here's the part many forget - wipe off the inner slide tubes to clean them off. The cream and silicon treatment is for the inside of the OUTER slide tubes. 6. Spray the inner slide tubes with the water in the spray bottle (you did put water in the bottle, yes?); put the outer slide back on (both tubes) and work back and forth a few times. Blow out excess water through the spit valve (Water key if you are PC) and voila, you are done! What happens is the water beads up like on a waxed car and the slide rides it like ball bearings. Spray when it dries and be sure to wipe the inner slide tubes off before putting your Bone away (fights rust and gunk). Re-apply every other week or so depending on how often you play (every day, right?) and when your slide gets too sluggish. You may now pass GO! Thank You, and Happy Tromboning! This is the best system I have used for professional level instruments. The slide cream nearly disappears when applied and the added drop of silicone treatment, when combined with a water spray mist, results in an extremely fast and effortless slide action.
