4.0 out of 5 stars Flash Flood Fun
It is a pretty good gun. It's flood flash feature is really cool! It shoots a lot of water out. The regular feature is cool to. It has CPS. You have to pump a lot though and fill it up a lot. It is a good gun overall. Buy it

2.0 out of 5 stars It will break!
The flash flood certainly has the best nozzle scheme i've seen recently, flash flood to drown, standard for conserving. It was a nice gun, until it broke within 2 weeks.

Ever since Max-D was used in a water gun that didn't have plumbing problems (Like connecting hoses falling off aquapack devastators), the trigger spring (Which stops the water from coming...

4.0 out of 5 stars extremely fun gun, April 6, 2005

This is the first time I bought a super soaker and playing tag with it. The tank can hold a large amount, although not surpassing the other big guns. The pumping is kind of hard to pump, but the results after 30-35(recommended)pumps can get someone seriously wet. Its weight is a bit heavy for me with the full water load and after a while my arm gets tired of holding it.
The cannon on top of the gun is an awesome feature. After the pumps, you can blast out the water to catch someone on the run. What I think is good is that the blasts have a good radius and can hit someone easily, but then you are vulnerable while you pump again. I think other kids would enjoy this gun as much as I do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything You Need to Know About the Flash Flood!!!, June 10, 2005
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

The flash flood is one of the best soakers I've ever bought. It's awesome because of its variety in abilities. First, it has a normal stream shot. This shot is strong pressurewise. Stronger than the triple aggressor, the hydroblade, and all of the old XP soakers. This shot, when the soaker is pumped fully, lasts up to 30 seconds. This gun also features a blast shot that when the gun is pumped fully, (which takes about 20-30 pumps) it blasts a wide shot that has the pressure of a hose with that pistol thing on it (if you know what I'm talking about). The blast can last up to three seconds, but it really drenches people. It is great for close assaults. Overall, this gun features close and far shot specialties, both needed in a soaker fight. This gun is also pretty light and can be carried with one hand alone (but pumped using both hands). The only problem with this gun is that it takes two hands to hold back the trigger for the close blast shot (one holds back trigger while the other one holds the soaker). The Flash Flood is a great buy for $20 and although it is not the least bit educational (no soaker is), it is the key you need to win a soaker war without the heavy load.

4.0 out of 5 stars Flash Flood: A step in the right direction, April 6, 2005

I'm pretty sure the guy who wrote the review below me doesn't have this gun. I do. For those on the forums, this is Cloud the Soakologist, owner of Soakology.net, key member at iSoaker.com, and moderator at SSCentral. This gun is one of two CPS-based guns released for 2005 (the other is the Devastator). While it is not as powerful as behemoths like the Monster X and CPS 2500, it could easily hold it's own in a fight with a CPS 1000/1200/2100 or even a 1500/1700/4100/Monster (2001). While it's smaller and less powerful than the big cannons Larami was pushing out in the late 1990s, it is lighter and more versatile. I can't really think of one position that the Flash Flood can't fill, except maybe an indoor fight. The color is bright, but unless you're playing at night, that shouldn't be a problem.
The feature of the gun is a lot like the Max-D Secret Strike. It functions like a standard CPS-based gun, but even after the main reservoir is used up, you can pull the large silver lever on the top to release a large "riot blast" of water. While it doesn't go far, it is great if you've snuck up on someone and want to soak them fast.
Included are several SoakerTags, which adhere to human skin quite well. They dissolve after being soaked substantially, making it easy to tell who's winning a water war.
While the Super Soaker community could easily ask for more, Hasbro has mended its reputation by giving us the CPS line back. The FF is clearly a step in the right direction, and I would recommend it to first-timers and veterans alike.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Water Gun, May 14, 2005
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Super Soaker Soakertag Elite Flash Flood (Toy)
This gun is one of the new 2005 soaker tag elite guns. This water gun packs a serious punch for it's size. The overall feel is nice, and as the water reseivor is on the bottom, it is not top-heavy like many other soakers. This gun has two different nozzles. The main nozzle, which is rated at 1.5x, shoots a solid stream to around 30-35 feet. The second nozzle packs some serious punch. It is rated at 10x, meaning it has 10 times the soaking power of those old guns you used to have. The huge nozzle is activated by a lever, and then it fires it's entire chamber through that gigantic nozzle. This gun is also a CPS, which stands for Constant Pressure system. Instead of using air pressure, it uses a stong rubber bladder. This makes it very storng in many ways; it has better range, more power, and less dropoff at the end of the shot. For many years they stopped making the CPS, but now this obviously prevailant system has returned this year to this soaker and another CPS soaker that has a backpack. Purchase this soaker!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultamite Water Gun...THE FLASH FLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, June 22, 2005

The Flash Flood is soooo good!!The main nozzle shoots VERY far and the flood nozzle shoot moderately far and is VERY poverful. The Flash Flood looks very durable(I have only had it for 2 days)and can hold 56 oz of water. To use that capacity, you must fill the main tank, pump the gun(sending water into the flood tank) and refill the main tank. The Soakertags DO work (I tried one on a metal chair)but take several hits to disenagrate. The Flash Flood is a bit heavy, esspeically with 56 oz of water, and is not very educational( it wasn't desined to be educational), but it is good. NOTE: Do not use the quick fill cap. It doesn't work.

This gun rocks! The regular stream is pretty good, and the flash flood stream is massive! When you pull the silver lever on this thang, it releases the Chinese wall in water form! 10 pumps for the flash flood mode is good, but if you pump it 20 times, yer opponent will be so drenched, he might as well try to swim on land. Any1 who says that this soaker is bad is a bigger liar than Pinnochio.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Great!!, July 17, 2006
This review is from: Super Soaker Soakertag Elite Flash Flood (Toy)
This is easily the best water gun around. It packs a ton of punch. My friend and I compared his Arctic Shock to my Flash Flood pump by pump. By pump five, the flash flood on my gun shot so much water, you could easily douse someone with a well placed shot. The other awesome element is that the precision stream is incredibly powerful. This gun requires, I'd say, about a maximum of ten pumps. No 300 pumps to get a five second shot. This gun is the real deal. A must buy!

2.0 out of 5 stars It will break!, September 6, 2005

The flash flood certainly has the best nozzle scheme i've seen recently, flash flood to drown, standard for conserving. It was a nice gun, until it broke within 2 weeks.

Ever since Max-D was used in a water gun that didn't have plumbing problems (Like connecting hoses falling off aquapack devastators), the trigger spring (Which stops the water from coming out) falls off in a month or so. On this gun, since it uses 2 triggers and deals with rapid discharge, the trigger spring WILL fall off in a little bit.

The CPS 1200 (5 or so years old) is one of the toughest things i've used. Even the toughest maneuver damage (Except dropping, maybe) can be taken without harm. The flash flood is the exact opposite. 1 hyperactive rampage, and it's gone!

I was reading all the reviews and most of them said that this gun was bad and broke easily. so i bought it because it was the only one they had in stock. It does not break! its range could be a little better, because you dont get the 35 feet unless you pump the hell out of it. the flash flood thing is cool, but again, its range is not much. ovverall, this is a great gun!
