I bought this game a couple years ago when Super NES first came out. It was one of the first games I got. At first when I played it, I said how hard it is. But as time went on, it got better and better. Like the title of this review, this is an excellent choice of a Star Wars game. Being a really big Star Wars fan myself, owning the Trilogy on video and playing this game. I thought of how accurate the game is. I mean, it has hard and simple tasks, it acually has a story, (Unlike the Gameboy game of it, where you just go around and do missoins) and its information is correct! All in all, this is probably one of the best Super Nintendo games! Oh, by the way. Get the whole trilogy on Super Nintendo like I did. First when I got Super Star Wars, I thought, this is a really good game. Then I found out that they came out with Super Empire Strikes Back. I loved that too. It's awesome! So by then I was thinking, this is a really good series of Star Wars Super Nintendo series. So I thought, they should really come out with a Return of The Jedi. My dream came true. A couple months later, Super Return Of The Jedi came out, and I ABSOLUTLY LOVED the Super Star Wars series for Super Nintendo. My favorite is the Return of The Jedi. I didn't beat any of them yet (I almost beat Return of The Jedi. I made it to the second to the last level, but the emporer's impossible), but I often play them and get better every time. So take my advise, get the whole trilogy for super Nintendo. If you don't have a Super Nintendo, go out and buy one!

Anyway, besides the whole trilogy, this video game is great. Great everything. (Except for the graphics, which as well as the rest of the Super Star Wars triology gaems, rate from fairly bad, to good) Ahh, but who cares about the graphics anyway. This is a good game, and if you like space travel, Star Wars, or Super Nintendo, this is a must. You won't regret buying this or the rest of the trilogy. (I know I don't)

I first got this game about six or seven years ago when Super Nintendo was still "acceptbale" gaming. The main thing I remember about this game is that it was quite fun. I almost gave up on it however, when the ice levels at the beginning stretched on for so long. It didn't last that long in the movie. Anyways, The game is long and diverse. The different characters and different levels of blasters is interesting. Although the ship levels are meant as a diversion from the side scrolling, they are not as fun as the regular levels. The bosses are quite easy, but thats just in compliance with the overall trend of Super Nintendo games in which the levels are harder than the bosses they contain. Luke's force powers are an interestign idea, although most of them are completely worthless. The game gets a bit tedious in the middle, but picks up nicely towards the end. Good game throughout.

This is an awesome game for super nintendo. Most of the new games today concentrate on the graphics, but they don't care if the game isnt even fun. This is a really fun game,. It's challenging, so everytime you pass a level, you're excited. You get to play as Luke, Han, and Chewie. Luke is playable in a majority of the levels, while han and chewie are in a few levels. Luke's Lightsaber is great in this game. He can block and deflect laser bolts back to enemies that shoot at him. At the end of the game, you get to try and defeat Darth Vader. It's a really hard level too. i only beat the last level once, and it took about 10 minutes to do so. you get force powerups like elevation, and lightsaber throw, and Slow motion.

Han get's to run around Echo Base, pilot the millenium falcon, and wreak havoc in Cloud City with many cool weapons. He get's blaster powers to shoot fire, ionic laser, plasma laser, and a seeker missle. Chewie get's to find C-3p0 in the "junk pile" and chase after Boba fetts ship.

The best levels have to be Han chasing threw echo base, the battle of Hoth with luke piloting the snowspeeder, the millenium falcon chase, and the final battle with Darth vader. Great action game!

This game is awesome and has alot of cool missions that involve skill and expertise.You can play as Luke,Han,or Chewbacca and it makes you feel like you are blowing up the deathstar your self.Play one of the best games of all time:STAR WARS

Many movies that get turned into Video Games do not fair well. More often than not they don't follow the movies very well at all or they simply fail at having decent gameplay. Sometimes even both. The Super Star Wars trilogy on the Super Nintendo has decent gameplay. They don't follow the movies to a tee (especially the first game) but they're good games nonetheless that many gamers are destined to like.

The game begins on the Dune Sea where you'll play as Luke Skywalker. You begin the game with a simple blaster and can power it up through the level. The first power up gives you flame. Afterwards you can power the blaster up to Heat Seekers, Rapid Ion and Plasma. You can't carry all five blasters at the same time however. They stack on one another. There are fifteen levels in Super Star Wars and as the game progresses so will the gameplay. Eventually Luke will be able to use a lightsaber and eventually you'll get to use Han and Chewbacca.

Super Star Wars is not an easy game, however. While no where near as difficult as "The Empire Strikes Back" the game provides a good challenge nonetheless. Many times you'll find yourself suffering from cheap deaths. Some levels are also populated with dangers that will kill you in one hit. To compensate the game has difficulty levels. Easy, Brave and Jedi. All of which are fairly challenging.

In terms of graphics, Super Star Wars looks very good for a video game released in 1992. There are a few moments of slowdown while playing and a few moments where certain aspects of the environment will be clipped, but nonetheless the levels are very detailed. Even better is the music in the game which sounds very close to the movie, only sixteen bit. If anything, the only big problem with the music is that there isn't much of a soundtrack to it. Many levels, especially in the later half of the game, make the same music over and over again.

Super Star Wars is still a brilliant game for its time. Gamers looking for a challenge and nostalgia will be happy to play this.

Aside from having to start a level over if you die, the game is cool and it plays well.

What's not to say about the saga that is Star Wars? Already proven to be one of the most vast and expansive series in cinema history, it was no doubt that these stories would transcend into the video game genre. After many failed attempts at doing this, (See any Star Wars game for NES or Atari) - the Super Nintendo incarnation of Star Wars proved to be rough, but easily addictive.

The graphics in this game are immense, very brightly colored and textured to the best of their abilities. As I played through this as a child, I thought I was at the locations from the movie. Now playing them as a twenty one year old, I must say I am almost just as impressed. For being on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the graphics are very well laid out. Colorful and vibrant, with just as many textures as they could cram in back then. Truly a visual spectacular worthy of a Star Wars title.

The gameplay of this though - is the only downfall. It is HARD! As the first installment in the Super Star wars franchise, it is a game that is considerably challenging even on easy! The controls are pretty fluid, but the badguys in this game seem to not like to die, and sometimes jumping can be your best friend, and your biggest enemy. But no need to worry, playing this game is so addictive, that after a while it gets to become a persona challenge and it is a beatable game.

Overall - this game is nostalgic, but fun to play even in 2011. If you can get your hands on this chunk of the saga, do it. You'll spend hours in front of your TV just like when you were a kid, in that galaxy far far away...

The game came in good condition and worked fine, as for the game itself, is great, its controls great and its fun shooting things, but the sand speeder level are very annoying and some levels are redundent but overall a good time.

I like the game a little, but it drove me a little nuts at times! It was in good condition, though!
