I've bought quite a few GPS gadgets, most of them were trackers. I actually tried the LandAirSea once under my truck and guess what? It didn't work there! The Trackstick information is right...you need to attach trackers correctly for it to lock a good, steady signal. Especially covertly, it takes some experimentation. It's the only way to get good results from your individual setup. Every vehicle and location is different. I mainly use a Trackstick for stealthy installations without any problems. Again, EXPERIMENT.

Overall, I'd say Trackstick is worthy of at least 4 stars. Great strong magnet, and when in the right place it'll never fail you.

My husband and I got this to keep a tab on our son and the car we just bought him (he's had a very distrustful history). Well, our doubts were quelled. After we found out nothing weird was going on, we removed the Trackstick and now just use it for documenting our road trips. It's kind of fun to pair up the map files with our photos and see all the geography of the roads less travelled. My only complaint was that the computer program isn't as user friendly as some other things like my iPod, so my husband usually has to do all the tech-work.

"Telespial Systems makes some big claims in advertising for its Trackstick Mini, a passive tracking device that was introduced to the market last year. Among them, the Southern California company boasts that the compact GPS unit has seven times better sensitivity than any of its other tracking systems and that it's the longest-running vehicle tracker on the market."

Another reviewer posted this, and I'd say it lives up to all of those claims.

Bottom line, the Trackstick works amazingly!

I was very disappointed and returned product to vendor. It would only occassionally pick up a point, would not route track from one point to another as deomonstrated in the selling information, and used a set of batteries in one to two days (vs. a month). I used the manufacturer's customer service and could not resolve the problems. Very disappointed.

For those who are computer literate, this is a great product. Trackstick seems to have thought of everything. This GPS device offers lots of great features for a very low price.

I guess a bunch of people are like me and used the original Trackstick before upgrading to the Super. The battery life and improved signal of the SUper was well worth the investment. I have been using Tracksticks for year to record my daily commutes with my job. It's a great sales tool to make sure I hit all my potential clients.

Track Stick works fine and with no expensive monthly GPS traking fee. The software is great but needs time to learn all the features. I used it in my van and I was able to catch my cheating worker who used my van for his personal use and not be at work site on time. Thanks Track stick. The only problem with track stick is the battery runs out of juice every 4days and there is still 60% memory left. I used Duracell batteries but now I am going to use rechargeable batteies , see how it will work. I wish There was a way to hot wire it to my van.

The Trackstick is easy to use, great software, and the Google Earth maps are very helpful.

My husband and I go on long trips and enjoy downloading the tracks and sharing them on Facebook with our family and friends. There is no better way to share your photos than being able to see them on a map of where you took them.

I'll be using this Trackstick for a while.

I originally owned a Trackstick II and like it so much that I upgraded to the Super model. The Super Trackstick worked better than I expected and does everything it says. The battery life is a big improvement over the original Trackstick II and well worth the extra money.

My kids love to take the Trackstick from my desk and use it to record their bike rides and trips around the neighborhood. It's easy to use and rugged so I don't have to worry about them breaking it.

After this upgrade, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for their next model.

I have been using the Super Trackstick for a couple years now having used the two previous versions. My main uses have been for tracking my kayaking, hikes, mountain bike rides and my adventure racing. The super trackstick has worked very well in all cases. It sometimes takes a few minutes to lock on when first turned on but after it locks on, it usually maintains good signal even around mountains and under very heavy tree cover. I will occasionally have data drops that last no more than a minute. I use the high power settings and track every 5 seconds and I do not have any issues with battery length, having done a few 30 hour adventure races with over 90% of the battery left after each. The software could be better at letting you select which tracks you want to work with or export but this is not a real problem. The geotagging features also work well. The trackstick has become an essential part of my outdoor activities and a great way to remember my adventures.
