More job descriptions than trading information.,
By Scott K. (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Super Traders: Secrets and Successes of Wall Street's Best and Brightest (Paperback)
If you have ever wondered what functions the various traders on wall street serve you might like this book. For instance what role does a sales trader play as opposed to a market maker? The chapters are each an interview with a different trader serving a different role. The only real trading interview is Trader Vic, and for that you may as well buy his book. The book is well written and informative, but it is not the same as The Market Wizards or The Best Conversations with Top Traders. If you are looking for trading ideas, one of those should make for a more satisfying read.

Disappointment given the title of the book,
By Matthew (London, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Super Traders: Secrets and Successes of Wall Street's Best and Brightest (Paperback)
This book is disappointing to say the least. What it is a collection of brief autobiographies. How certain successful traders built up their trading companies. There are certainly no trading secrets in this book. The best chapter is by Vic Sperandeo but it is so brief that nothing useful can be gleaned. This book is best saved as a read on the train into and back from work. Just don't expect to improve your trading technique by reading it.

Poor Man's Market Wizards,

This review is from: The Super Traders: Secrets and Successes of Wall Street's Best and Brightest (Paperback)
This book was clearly an attempt to take advantage of the market following success of Market Wizards. Unfortunately, it does not offer one tenth the value. The interviews are not nearly as inspiring and the lessons not nearly at powerful. Stick to the original.

The only thing you need to know about this book is it gives Jon Najarian the title of super trader. If you have ever listened to the garbage he spews on CNBC, you know this is clearly not the case. The Market Wizzards books are substantially better.

This is a good read as well but i was expecting more ,not the question and answer type like market wizards. But its still leaps and bounds better than stock market wizards.
