I ordered the 2 ct size but I actually think they are a little too large and therefore, they don't sit properly on the ear. I should have gone for a 1 1/2 ct size. They do not sparkle like real diamonds so don't expect that. They are however very pretty for a black stone. I like them and they do go with everything but I would order a smaller size next time

So.....I just received the earrings. The earring are very nice. However, this is a gift and the box that the earrings came in is absolutely ridiculous. For the amount of money paid for the jewelry, I think they should have come in a nicer box. The box is a very light aqua colored cardboard with a flattened white ribbon glued to the top. The sides of the box are pushed in because that was the only way to get the top on the box and "Super Jeweler" is stamped on the top of the box and the whole thing comes in a ziplock bag. The look of it has cheap written all over it. I could have bought a $10.00 pair of earrings and gotten a nicer box. This is a gift for my girlfriend for Vantine's Day, and it looks like I got these at the drug store. I wouldn't think these were black diamonds if I saw them in a box like this. As a matter of fact, I'm starting to wonder if I was scammed and these aren't black diamonds at all.

Anyway, not a big deal if you are buying them for yourself, but if they're a gift, plan on buying a box for them while on Amazon.com. Such as
the "Two Doors Classic Cartier Leatherette Black Earrings Gift Box"

These black diamonds shined well and were pretty but had flaws in one, the inclusion was white and very noticeable. There was no indication of the flaw when I made the purchase, the photo did not show it nor did the jeweler list it. The setting was nice though and they came in a cute tiffany blue color box with a nice white ribbon. So unfortunately I had to send them back, they were a gift for my husband.

I ordered this item and when I received it it turned out that both (!) of the studs have a clear scratch on the visible top part of the diamonds. Some birthday present to my girlfriend these two would make in a state like this.

I have emailed the seller to inform them and I hope they can come back with a solution. If they do I will update the review. The items have also increased in price from $195 to $229, holiday season anyone?

Update:
Amazon market place are offering a refund and Superjeweler offers a new pair at the original cost. Have to wait and see what those are like.

Update 2:
New item received and it looks good, it does however come with a ridiculous "value estimate" of $1499, their helpdesk told me it was for insurance purposes, but apparently an estimate is not an official valuation. No refund yet from Amazon marketplace.

My husband bought these for me for Christmas. They are a good size (I am a big person and small studs get lost on me), very attractive and are very comfortable to wear. The only problem I had with them was the butterfly backs, which are very small and are difficult to put on, especially with long nails. One post would not go into the back at all until I discovered the butterfly was too tight, easily remedied with a screwdriver to force the loops apart. I am very pleased!

Disapointed of size. Small 2 ct Black Diamond earrings are the size of 1 ct diamon earrings I bought before.
