5.0 out of 5 stars Super Deal - Great Product
I purchased this product to organize my kitchen cabinets. It's so nice to open the cabinet doors and find my raisins, powdered sugar and brown sugar all in matching containers! I'm thinking of buying another set for left-overs.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stackable...NOT Nestable, February 2, 2006
This review is from: SuperSeal 48-Piece Food Storage Set (Kitchen)
The description of this product says they are space-saving and stackable. I interpreted that to mean nestable. They don't nest and therefore they do not save much space. Had I known that, I would not have purchased them. If you look closely at the picture, you will see that there are 2 pictured on top of each other with their lids on. This is what they mean by stackable. You can also put smaller ones inside bigger ones but even that is not a nice fit and also isn't convenient.

3.0 out of 5 stars betty crocker food saver, January 9, 2007
This review is from: SuperSeal 48-Piece Food Storage Set (Kitchen)
This item is very good for storing food and seals well, but, very bulky when you want to store away, don't fit well inside each other. They take up a lot of space, a spacesaver they are not...for sure.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for Cooks who send food home..., May 4, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: SuperSeal 48-Piece Food Storage Set (Kitchen)
What I was looking for was an inexpensive way to send food home with folks, since most people are terrible about sending your good storage bins back home. I also wanted something that I would like to use myself, especially for freezing food, and was easy to open and close..and stayed closed. So far, these bins seem to be doing everything I want and need them to do. I am very happy with my purchase, with the exception of too many tiny bins in this set.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not all items included in box, November 30, 2007

I was a little surprised when I received this item. I was immediately wary when the box appeared to be re-sealed. When I opened the box, I found the Amazon packing slip INSIDE the sealed product box.

I counted the items to see if everything listed on the box, and unfortunately, some items were missing and some were substituted.

- Instead of 2 -18 ox. square containers with lids, I received 3 - 32 oz containers (that's ok with me)
- Another substitution was the cookbook. Instead of receiving a Betty Crocker cookbook, I received a small brochure entitled "Bake with Bob & Joyce: A collection of Famous Recipes" which includes many recipes (but it's not a Betty Crocker cookbook.)
- I was fine with the Ekco measuring spoons included, as I'm always scrambling for more measuring spoons when I'm baking.
- The 2 -34 oz. round containers with lids were totally missing.

I figure there are a few possibilities:
- this was a returned item, and the previous purchaser kept several containers and the cookbook
- someone in the shipping department might have sticky fingers
- quality control at the Betty Crocker factory is off

I'm not returning the items because the price was low and I received what I needed. I purchased this item because I was tired of re-using empty butter containers for leftovers, and wanted a set with divided plates. I'm fine with the quality of the product, but a little disappointed with the missing and substituted items, as I've never had any problems with Amazon in all the years I've ordered from them. I hope this was a fluke!

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall pretty good, August 21, 2008

These were a very good price, which is why IO purchased them. I didn't have super high expectations, but they perform fairly well. The lids don't seem to fit perfectly where they form a tight seal, but they must as I'm not noticing freezer burn or anything else indicative of a poor seal.

For the $$, I'd get them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Of a divided mind, July 29, 2008

It's not that these storage containers are bad, you see. They're sturdier than Gladware, they've held up nicely in my dishwasher, and they haven't warped.

My main problem is with the way they store. As noted before by other reviewers, these do NOT nest in the way that Gladware or Rubbermaid do, so they take up an astonishing amount of space. The picture of the product shows about how condensed the containers can get for storage.

My other pet peeve is that the divided dish does not STAY divided if the container is inverted or tipped sideways. Some people may like peach juice in their ravioli, but I'm not one of those.

So on the one hand, it's a good price for something very durable. On the other, it's a beast to store. I'd like to echo some other reviewers and add that I was also missing pieces and lids and had some substitutions--which, for the price I paid, I didn't care all that much.

4.0 out of 5 stars love it, May 8, 2008

I love these containers. They're awesome. The lack of nesting that everyone complains about doesn't bother me. They all fit into the larger ones and get into the cabinet fine ... and you can stack the lids. Maybe Type A people need everything to stack perfectly. But these are just fine for me. They're durable too.

They are not microwavable friendly. They burn easily and the tops do not fit tightly.
