My trombone is a 1949 King B2 and I always used Pond's cold cream until they changed the formulation. Since then I used Slide-O-Mix and dabbled with Pledge wipes. The only drawback was the slide would gum up and it was necessary to wash and swab out the slide to get it free running again. After the second time I sent it for repair at the "Slide doctor", he emphatically said for the second time to use Superslick. That in his experience in the slide repair field Superslick was better because it did not gum up with sustained use. Ok, I bought some here on Amazon and after about a year found that it really is better. It doesn't gum up and I don't have to wash out the slide about every week. So now what do I do with my five bottles of Slide-O-mix? l

My slide....slides!! This stuff is nuts. If your not sure how to put on slide cream properly, Youtube it. They explain it perfectly.

My son's band teacher recommended this product and he was right...this stuff is the best! It isn't greasy and runny like most lubricants..easy to apply without a huge mess.

I've always used Pond's cold cream but it gums up after a short time.My King has a ever so slight dent in the slide and there is no repairman in the near. The superslide has made the dent feel almost completely gone. There is no reason for me to send it off to be fixed now.

Took my slide from slightly sticky to slide vibrato,

This stuff is amazing, before putting this stuff on my slide, it was a little sticky, but now that I'm using this stuff, I can do slide vibrato, and I absolutely have to use my slide lock, or the slide will fall off. I definitely recommend this to ANY slide trombonist looking to increase the performance of their slide.

I've been playing trombone for about 5 1/2 years, and I only used oil on my slide. It was okay, but my slide stuck a lot, and i figured i had a dent or something that was causing my problems. I stumbled upon this, saw all the good reviews, and decided to buy it. It works like a charm. i seriously think it is magic. (not really.) But this has made my slide easier to play than ever before. i can finally play faster songs!

The real McCoy,

This stuff is all I use, and all I recommend for trombone slides. I've been playing for 40 years and I've tried it all. I kept coming back to Superslick. Make sure you use this in conjunction with a cleaning rod to keep the inside of your outer slide clean. You will not be disappointed.

Super Slick has worked well for me for over 30 years. I play about 3-4 times a week, and it will last a couple of years.

I was new to the trombone, and so searched around, and this was highly recommended by professional and student alike. And so, as a novice I too strongly recommend this slide cream!
