Chris Jasper made this album in 1987 around the same time that Isley Jasper Isley started going down the tubes. The signature style of IJI was soulful sensibility combined with scorching electric guitars. Fortunately, the breakup of that group did not stop Chris Jasper from continuing to use their unique style for his solo albums. His more soulful side is best exemplified on the track "One Time Love" and he lets the guitars rip on "My Soul Train."
