3.0 out of 5 stars Do you want to make your trunk bump?
If so this cd is loaded with thumping bass. Lyrically it's nuthing more than what you would expect from your typical southern rap artist. Boosie boast about the hard streets of Baton Rouge, La and rhymes about XXX rated rymes about sexual encounters. That being said I like the CD b/c it sounds more like a Cash money album from the 90's it's by far no lyrical masterpiece...

5.0 out of 5 stars Lil Boosie Superbad Goes Hard, September 20, 2009
This review is from: Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz (Audio CD)
Being a huge fan of Lil Boosie, I knew that this CD was going to be the best work he got out. I was correct. Lyrically he spits about real life situation Black people can relate too. Grown up in the streets, girls, chillin with his Friends and family. Real stuff. Lyrically lil boosie is one of the rawest rappers out, if not the best. Most ppl now adays dont even listen to lyrics just the beat. Boosie got the beats and the lyrics, a lethal combo. Thats why he so hot!! This makes your woofers in the car beat like no other. Beats go hard, lyrics go hard. Over all this CD is great. If your a fan of Lil Boosie or are curious to buy this or not. I promise you, that you wont be disappointed!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun CD, January 20, 2010
This is a fun cd, full of upbeat songs. I especially like No Mercy & Loose As A Goose. I wish there was more of Lil Mouse who's on Loose As A Goose. I recommend it to rap lovers.

Boosie boo goes twice as hard as on his first cd (bad azz). The title says it all it's Superbad azz. Classic album, go get it, every track is a banger, garenteed to last in your car.

5.0 out of 5 stars Boosie bad "SuperBad", December 25, 2009
This review is from: Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz (Audio CD)
With all this wack music pouring in I thought 2009 was going to be a bad year. I recently started to listen to Boosie in the summer and he's very good. I needed that down south album and this is one for the ages. These rap artists need to take notes because this is how you make a good album. Top 5 songs Loose as a Goose, Top Notch, Better Believe It, No Mercy, and My Avenue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Get Me Started!, September 15, 2009
This review is from: Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz (Audio CD)
Lil Boosie has been releasing music for over a decade now. Rightly discovered by Pimp C (RIP) of UGK, Lil Boosie is most known for a few of his high profile guest appearances in the past few years such as Wipe Me Down, Out Here Grinding, and I'm So Hood. However what many casual fans don't realize about Lil Boosie is that he earned his respect throughout the industry by delivering unabashed honesty rap about growing up poor and love for family and kids. Lil Boosie depicts his life and experiences with such great detail and honesty that he reminds you of and falls into the same lane as rappers such as Z-Ro in the underground, Kanye West in the mainstream or even the great 2Pac Shakur.

After his first official debut BAD AZZ a few years ago it was completely apparent that Lil Boosie could not only hold his own and release a(n) (near classic) album but could also fill a void that seemed to be missing in mainstream rap. Enter SUPERBAD, Boosie's long awaited follow up to his debut.

Lil Boosie comes back in a major way on this album. He raps with a certain attitude and hunger that you usually only hear in upcoming rappers not veterans. Make no mistake about it Lil Boosie is definitely an extremely good and sometimes great rapper. Once you get past his high pitched gravelly voice you will come to appreciate his lyrics. There's a little something on this album for everyone (except the radio). He has the hood anthems that are completely enjoyable such as BETTER BELIEVE IT, IM A DOG, TOP NOTCH, LOOSE AS A GOOSE, & CRAYOLA.

He raps about the harsh realities of his environment on several songs. On NO MERCY he raps "if you make it to see 25...you an OG". Does it get any more realer than that? Other similar songs where social commentary is injected include Lawd Have Mercy, BS, Pain, Mind Of A Maniac. He raps about relationships on Who Can Love U and Miss Kissin You (possibly the best song on the album). There's one notable track missing and that is BACK IN THE DAY. This song was one of the songs used to hype up the album but I have no idea why it wasn't included (it had a video and everything) as well since it's a great song. if you can track it down it's worth it.

Guests on the album are mostly Trill ENT members but Bobby Valentino, Trina, and Young Jeezy also make appearances. The production is handled by The Runners, B Real, Mouse, BJ , and Nard & B and they create a sonic soundscape of living in Louisiana.

Overall, Lil Boosie delivers arguably the best album of the year. In my opinion it is competing with Rick Ross - Deeper Than Rap for album of the year. I enjoy it just as much if not more than that album. If you're a fan of hip hop in it's rawest purest form without the gimmicks like auto-tune or R&B features every song then I advise you to RUN to the store right now and pick this album up. 5 stars.
