Bought this device for two reasons. One to correct the speedometer after a rear end change and the other to make some performance improvements for towing.
The program options menus allow you to adjust the rear axle ratio and tire size rather easily. That function worked well and was pretty strait forward. You can also change the automatic transmission shift points (what's the point?). Performance enhancements for towing require you to switch to 92 Octane fuel. All other programming options other than stock also will not work on regular fuel. This was a big disappointment. The unit must be indestructible since it came rattling around in a box with no packing.

Pros
Easy to make changes in ratios and tire sizes.
Easy to use.
Can return vehicle to standard programming if it needs to go to the dealer for service.
Tech support is quite good. Available with 800 number.

Cons
Can only program one vehicle. You need to deprogram one vehicle before another can be done.
Performance enhancements require upgraded fuel.
Cannot tow in mileage mode.
Manual information minimal.

Have only tried 87 octane performance as well as the mileage saver - very pleased with both settings. While the performance setting did make a noticable difference, I now get 19.5 mpg hwy in the fuel savings setting. Highly recommend!

This was my Husband's big Christmas gift. He ran out and hooked it up to his truck right away and then took his truck for a spin. It definately made the truck faster. We have yet to see how it does on fuel efficiency. I have read other reviews on other websites about this product and all were positive even a good review as to customer service solving issues timely and efficiently.
