A well written and researched book covering the latest generation of fighter aircraft. Covers aircraft development, current status, avionics and weapons in some detail but written in a style that is easy to read and follow for aviation buffs. Also includes coverage of future versions or upgrades planned. Good collection of pictures to support text, a good resource for those doing research for plastic hobby kits of these subjects.Only a very minor negative comment was the coverage of the Su-27. Given the number of versions this aircraft has each is only touched on lightly. For this aircraft perhaps a dedicated book on it would be better if your are interested in it. Otherwise a good easy reference book for aviation buffs and at least a starting point for further research. |
