This is my first French singer CD and I love it. I heard "Superflu" a while back and fell in love with it. He's better than alot of American singers. Absolutely awesome.

Pascal Obispo is the best.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Superflu New 1997 (Audio CD)
The French music make a big step in the music world this year:- France are in the 3 best countries in the Techno championship with the states and the Germany. - The best DJ is an American but the second one is a French. There is many others examples but 5 years ago, the French music was totally out of competition. Pascal Obispo is part of this great improvement in the French music. I think that he is famous by his voice which is very special. Pascal write his music's and his songs that's why the voice fits perfectly with his music . In this album `superflu' he didn't write all his songs Zazi helped him a lot. In this album, Pascal begins with a rocksong (persone) and finish with a lovesong in duo with Zazi. All his songs are loves songs. The bests songs in this album are: Persone, Oû et avec qui tu m'aimes and Lucie. In many of his songs his music is played by a rockgroup with a piano, guitars, drums and bass. I liked a lot this album because I like his way to write music and to sing. In all his song, I like the chorus and he always make a different kind of music for each song. A lot of people likes him in France but the best for him is in the future because I think that he is going to make an international tour.

Mandatory contemporary French rock,
By A Customer
This review is from: Superflu New 1997 (Audio CD)
This just might be my favorite French rock CD of the '90s. The sound is a nice cross between Beatles-esque pop and Seattle grunge. "Où et avec qui tu m'aimes" is what everyone says it is below: a great song. Its equals are "Lucie" and "Les Meilleurs ennemis," the haunting duet with Zazie (his wife?). "Personne," "Il faut du temps" and "Eléa" are close behind, and I imagine all of these songs recieved extensive airplay in France. It's a shame that didn't happen in the U.S.; if we weren't such isolationists, one could easily imagine hearing these songs on the radio alongside Oasis, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Jeff Buckley, et al.
