This book gets right to the point and delivers some fantastic recipes. That's what I wanted so I'm very pleased with this book. Some very creative mixes too. Great use of herbs to keep things yummy. This is one of the most useful recipe books I've purchased. I can't wait to start trying these recipes. I have been trying to lose weight and eat healthier for over two years now and always find myself slipping into my old habits of junk food simply because I don't know what else to eat. Levit is an actual nutritionist and the recipes that he has included in this book show that he is not only knowledgable of what eating healthy really means, but that he likes to eat stuff that tastes good as well.

I am a vegetarian who likes to eat vegan as much as possible. It's always great to find new resources for recipes and this book is awesome! All of the recipes look delicious and even better they look super healthy too.

The dishes in this book sound amazing. And very simple to prepare which is a necessity in my house with busy work, school, sports, kids... you name it, we do it kind of schedules. Eating healthy in the mix of our busy lives is something my husband I really try to enforce because we know a busy schedule requires proper nutrition and healthy bodies. We both love to cook and are always looking for new fun recipes to try. We are both looking forward to trying just about every option this book has to offer... especially desert!

Yes, there are a number of slow cooker recipes included, but there is a lot more, besides - recipes to be cooked in the oven, on the stove top, or eaten raw. Bill Levitt, the author of Superfood Genius! 99 Mouthwatering Vegetarian Slow Cooker Recipes, Green Smoothie & Raw Food Recipes, is a nutritionist and “at home chef” who originally compiled this book of his favorite “superfood” recipes for his clients. The 99 recipes included are divided by meal, including desserts. I found this book for free one day on Amazon and just had to give it a try. Cookbooks have been a huge interest to me since I was small - I remember getting in trouble all the time when I was 5 for taking my mom's cookbooks and putting them in my room. In my defense, it was so I could read them without 1) my sister bugging me and 2) my sister losing my place after I put it back. I'm not quite a bit older and cookbooks are still something that I love to just sit down and read. And this was one of those books that were just enjoyable - I learned a lot and found a slew of recipes that I can't wait to try.

To be honest, I don't know if I would spend almost $9 on a book (now that I have a Kindle, I very rarely spend anything, but $5 seems to be my upper limit unless I REALLY want the book), but I would at least put it on your wish list and keep track of it for when it goes down low (or free) again. It was that good - that the time put into it would be worth it.

This cook book really does contain a lot more recipes that not only are yummy, but that I'll actually end up using again and again! Sometimes cookbooks have so much creative recipes that I don't end up using as often as the comforts. Even though I'm vegetarian and not vegan, I love vegan food and I appreciate how they covered all meals of the day. Great for anyone that appreciates nutritious food.
