5.0 out of 5 stars Packed with useful information and great recipes.
I found this to be a well-researched, informative book with great tasting, healthy, easy to make recipes. I appreciate the effort that went into informing us about women's special nutritional needs and the protection certain foods afford us. 3.0 out of 5 stars Full of useful information, but predictable recipes
Useful information on food sources for vital nutrients, but fairly predictable dependance on Italian and Mediterranean cooking styles and disappointing recipes. Some of us actually like our vegetables cooked until tender, rather than that half-raw, heated-through, but still crunchy texture that gives us gas. And I am tired of using olive oil on every thing

Innovative and delicious recipes, informative text. I like the fact that I can enjoy olive oil and canola oil without ingesting harmful fats. The author is obviously no stranger to the subject of nutrition. I have bought several copies as gifts for friends I truly care about.Truly a super book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Super Book, June 17, 2006
This review is from: Superfoods for Women: 300 Recipes That Fulfill Your Special Nutritional Needs (Hardcover)
I think that this is a super book, both for the recipes and the information. The chapters are divided by food type and health benefits. There is also a helpful "pantry list" at the front of the book. Most of the recipes I have tried have been excellent; and I felt good about eating them after reading about the benefits to my body. The only complaint I have had is that some of the recipes have tasted rather bland - a bit too "healthy". However, you can always make alterations to adjust the taste to your liking.
