Supergirl Saves the Day -- Or Does She?,
This review is from: Supergirl: Death and the Family (Paperback)
Great stories from current Superman and Supergirl DCU. Covers Superwoman's backstory and Supergirl's attempt to live a "normal life" as Lana Lang's neice Linda at a time when Earth people are paranoid about Kryptonians. Supergirl has a crisis in which two of her friends are in danger, Inspector Henderson from the Silver Banshee and Lana from a mysterious, deadly illness. Can Kara save her friends? What will she do if she is too late to save one of them?

This review is from: Supergirl: Death and the Family (Paperback)
This graphic novel does a great job at examining the life of Supergirl behind the shadow of Superman. There are many themes present that just about any person in the world can relate to with the problem's Supergirl faces. Originally I bought the novel to write an 8 page paper critiquing the novel with feminist theory, yet it turned out to be one of the best comics I have ever bought.
