For over two decades Candye Kane has entertained audiences the world over with her rousing big-voiced vocals and amorous stage presence, drawing inspiration from the brash blues stylings of Big Maybelle, Ruth Brown, Big Mama Thorton, Bessie Smith and Etta James. In February 2008 she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and facing a most uncertain future. Thankfully, with the love and support of friends and fans worldwide she overcame this challenge and less than one year later has been pronounced cancer free. With renewed energy and a new lease on life Candye now makes her triumphant return with Superhero, her most personal and rewarding effort to date. Featuring special guests Kid Ramos, Dave Gonzales and Mitch Kashmar.

What a CD! What a performer! And now she is a producer! Not even the big C could keep her down! Candye shines again on another CD that will not only please her passionate fans, but will win over new people who have yet to be captivated by her voice. Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

We love Candye Kane! This vocal tribute to her triumph over pancreatic cancer is fun and inspirational. Candye has easily one of the best voices in the blues, and she mixes her blues with swing, rockabilly and straight-up rock. Memorable lyrics with plenty of double-entendre get me singing along every time! If I were to pick a favorite song it would have to be "Till you go too far," but every song on the album is a hit! Candye has a spirit and a voice that never breaks!

Superhero is super good!!!,

Candye Kane's Superhero is her first since beating pancreatic cancer. She is no worse for wear though as she has turned in perhaps her best recording ever and one of the best blues albums of the year period. Laura Chavez on guitar is becoming a new queen of blues guitar and Evan Caleb is also developing into one of Blues top drummers. This is a must for fans of the blues.
