This is the cleverest kids book I've seen in a while. My sister bought this for my nephew for his birthday, but as retired teacher and all around superhero fan, this is the best! It comes with its own red cape, stickers to create your own shirt, a mask for secret identity, and evil-warding bracelets. My favorite, aside from the whole section on what superheroes do and do NOT do, is the "how to move like a superhero". It emphasizes verbs and movement, which can easily become a great art/language arts lesson. So much fun, and non-violent too!

My 3 1/2 year old son received this as a Christmas present. He wore the cape non-stop for about 2 weeks. We read the book at least once a week even now and he's got the cape on today (Feb 20). Most Christmas presents come and go, but this one has ignited my child's imagination like no other.

I have a boy who is on the autistic spectrum. He absolutely loves this book. He wakes up each morning and put on the cape, mask,, and wristbands. It has been great for his pretend play skills!

Great little kit for little boys. My son got this as a gift at age 2 1/2 and is still playing with it at age 4 1/2. The cape is such a great vibrant red. It's hard to find a nice cape like that. We didn't have any problems with our velcro as it is still working 2 years later. The masks and stickers are fun but are of limited duration. It might have been nice to have a cloth made mask but then, they couldn't pick and choose the patterns that they would want. The cape is the best thing about the kit. I have bought several of these as gifts for my son's friends and their parents have told me what a great gift it is.

My two sons live in their superhero capes and masks. This is a pretty all-encompassing gift b/c it includes not only the cape, but a selection of very cool colorful masks (you have to supply your own string) and wristbands. My 2- and 6-year olds wear them daily and the masks are still holding up weeks later. Makes a great gift for friends, too.

my son just loves this. loves it! the wristbands fall apart some after too much use, but a little strip of duct tape here and there does the trick. and i jimmied some rubber bands thru the mask holes so a rubber band would loop around each ear. that seemed to work pretty well. (didn't try the yarn. am i the only mom that doesn't own yarn?)

anyway, great price, great product and the book is a fun (and short) read.

My nephew was in desperate need of a cape he would run around with a strawberry shortcake blanket tied around his neck. I was so excited when i found this and ordered it for his birthday. he loved it! we bought some letters and ironed his name onto it. such a great gift for a little boy.

My son (age 6) received this as an early Christmas present and absolutely loves it! He immediately took the cape out of the package and put it on to instantly become a superhero. The next day he looked through the book and was excited to discover the masks, wristbands, stickers and important tips on how to be a great hero. He and his younger brother (age 3) love running around saving the day and then mysteriously disappear and return again without their costumes (like Superman returning as Clark Kent--it's hilarious!) They make their costume changes several times during their pretend play. It comes with just one cape, but it's nice to have several masks for his little "sidekick" to play with him. Four thumbs up from my little guys!

My friend's son was turning 4 when I bought him this as a gift. He and his mom decorated it and the boy played with it almost every day. He was Batman, Superman, and now Harry Potter (LOVES casting spells)

I bought 2 of these kits for my boys ages 2 and 4 and they absolutely love them. Great price and good quality! Can't go wrong!
