I like this item a lot, although I'm not completely sure it's not draining my cell phone battery.

It's very helpful to have your phone easily available and visible rather than having to hunt for it a purse or pocket.

If it's not hurting my phone, it's a very nice idea!

I bought this to use with my Palm Pre. I have the touchstone charger. The phone attaches to the charger with a magnet, so I figured the phone would also stick to the Wonder Magnet. The problem is, the touchstone charger actually has 4 small magnets in a square that line up with 4 small metal plates in the Pre. I guess there isn't enough metal in those or they don't line up right. The phone wouldn't stick to the Wonder Magnet. However, the Wonder Magnet comes with a metal plate that you are supposed to stick on the back of the phone in order to make it attract to the Wonder Magnet. I really don't want something stuck to the back of my phone. Luckily, I was able to fit this plate under the battery cover of the phone. Now the phone sticks to the Wonder Magnet, and you can't even tell that metal plate is in there.

It also works great with my iPod. Since it has a metal back, I didn't have to use the metal plate to get it to stick.
But it would be nice if they mentioned that you will probably have to use this metal plate in the product description.

About magnets draining the battery- A quick web search indicates that magnets don't drain batteries. This must be some urban myth. I've never heard that before, but I was curious when I saw their description specifically advertises that this product does not drain the battery.

This is very convenient. I stuck the Wonder Magnet to the console in my car right next to the shifter. It's so nice to have it right there. I used to have to keep it in the cup holder. That was especially annoying when I had to plug in the car charger. Trying to sit it in the cup holder with a cord sticking out the side didn't work very well.
