5.0 out of 5 stars Cinder Road: My new favorite band
I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to this cd! When I attended the Daughtry show in April, Cinder Road was the opening act. It is the first time I've EVER gone to a concert where I actually enjoyed the opening band as well as the main act.
These guys not only sound great live, but they are also some of nicest guys you'll ever meet! After the...

2.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe this album is rated so highly...
Bought this disc hoping for some solid alt rock; knew I was in trouble when I cracked the cover and the lead singer was staring at me with his shaved chest and open vest straight out of Billy Idol's closet. The weak-sauce tunes just reaffirmed my initial impression - overly sappy lyrics combined with a limp rhythm section just about killed the album by track five, but I...

5.0 out of 5 stars Cinder Road: My new favorite band, June 21, 2007
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to this cd! When I attended the Daughtry show in April, Cinder Road was the opening act. It is the first time I've EVER gone to a concert where I actually enjoyed the opening band as well as the main act.
These guys not only sound great live, but they are also some of nicest guys you'll ever meet! After the show, they were in the crowd meeting and greeting fans. My sister had her picture made with several of the band members, which you could check out on my MySpace page... I'm currently the only "Billy Slocumb" on there.
Anyway, I LOVE the cd. "Should've Known Better" is my favorite song, but there's not a bad song on the entire cd! BUY THIS CD! You won't be disappointed!
Also, if you have a chance to see them live, don't pass it up!

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll Love this CD, June 19, 2007
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
I went to see Daughtry and fell in love with Cinder Road. And when I went back to a Daughtry concert for the second time it was to see Cinder Road. Not only are they great on stage, they have an awesome CD. Vocals, music and lyrics are outstanding and there is not one bad track. Although it's hard to pick a favorite song I really like "Get In Get Out" and "Back Home to You". I'm looking forward to more from these guys.

Cinder Road and Plunge are actually one in the same. In order to get the TRUE feeling of the band you must buy BOTH cd's. These young men really know how to make GREAT music. Superhuman is their first collaberation cd done with Marti Frederiksen. Writing was done by Mike Ruocco (lead singer) and Marti. The sound is awesome!! Extremely well produced. All I can say is I love everything about this cd...

Their "Hometown Hero" cd is 100% the band and their 1st official release. This cd WILL NOT disappoint the buyer.

Proud owner of both cd's.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT ALBUM, April 28, 2008
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
I have owned this album for almost a year now and it still gets tons of play time in my cd player. I never get tired of it. I have never been a big fan of "today's" music but I fell in love with this band the moment I heard them. They bring back the 80's rock feel that I dig but they also fit with they style of today. Many age groups can get into this band. Their live shows are a real treat to see too. They are so full of energy and very entertaining to watch. If you are/were a fan of the band Enuff Z'nuff, I HIGHLY recomend getting this album because the vocals and style remind me of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album...the next one's even better!, October 18, 2010
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
Superhuman is a great album, but Damage Control is even better! I've heard these guys perform live numerous times since we're from the same home town, and I can honestly say that the new album is some of their best work. If you don't have it already, I strongly urge you to go out and buy it. It has a great mix of songs, and more of a hard rock sound than Superhuman. The first track, Worst Way, has already been played on 98 Rock, and it's awesome.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Sound!, September 24, 2010
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
This is a great CD. Not a gritty, edgy sound but a lighter rock feel with great lyrics. I saw this band live awhile back and have to say that I think they actually sound better live than recorded. (Though the CD is still great!) This is one of those bands you need to experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Average Sound Quality - Good Content, September 11, 2009
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
The sound of this CD was average quality, probably due to the fact that this CD was mastered in 2007 by a non-major label. My CD arrived as advertised, new and unopened, so I believe that this was the original version from 2007. The content of the CD was good with several recognizable songs from radio, although I did get tired of listening to it fairly quickly because of the lower sound quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cinder Road Rocks, December 2, 2008
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
If you want some GREAT music, then Cinder Road's (formerly Plunge) Superhuman CD is just what you need. They have a Def Leppard/Bon Jovi sound to them, but better. From the great lyrics and knowing how much they like connecting with their audience, you just want to keep listening and listening. They give everything they got and put so much heart in to their music; from rock with Get In Get Out and Should've Known Better to a softer sound with Back To Home To You. They've got something for everybody; good looks and talent. If you want some good rock and roll, this is the album to add to your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing CD!, June 11, 2008
This review is from: Superhuman (Audio CD)
After waiting for Cinder Road's debut album, I can just say that it does not disappoint. It's absolutely amazing and keeps you jamming from beginning to end. It's rock at it's best. Not poprock, just ROCK. The CD couldn't be ANY better.

If you're looking for a good album, buy Superhuman.
