Well, to any metalfan that is looking for an aural assault on the senses, look no further. This has to be one of my favorite albums, if not just for the sheer fact that it grinds like crazy. The drums are slow at times and incredibly fast at others. The guitars sound painful, and the vocals are tortured. I am a huge fan of tortured vocals in death and black metal music, whether it be the scraping or growling. This album is by far the best death/black metal hybrid I have ever heard.

This band from Colorado,USA, is proof that there is a growing Colorado extreme music scene. Excommunion are downright brutal and original, and know how to slaughter the masses. Pure evil is Excommunion. The most evil band to come from the USA. They give thier European counterparts a run for thier money. With Colorado bands like Excommunion, Serberus, ThroCult, Mandrake, and upcommers Sidhe, Deadspeak, Sickbox and Skinned, this mountain region will be producing some of the finest bands in the country! So be on the lookout for Excommunion in a town near you.
