Love this for our 7 year old son.

It is not a phonetically based reader, but it makes a great read aloud or a book to read with your child, and best of all-it's about Superman!

Buying this type of book at a toy store or book shop is most likely the more affordable option.

This is a level 2 reader for children leaving the begining stages of reading or as in my case, a prereader who loves super heros. Lex Luthor puts Metropolis in danger and Superman has to come and save the day. A nice action packed book without alot of the violence other super hero books may have. This was the main reason I chose a reader vs. others. The book does a nice job detailing how superman came to be from his childhood up and does a nice job detailing other characters such as Lex and Lois Lane. A lot of detail without weighing the stoy down. This is a fantasic book to add to any young child's library who loves super heros. It is a nightly request.

I bought this and other superhero easy to read books for my grandson (7) who is resisting reading. Now that he has books with a subject in which he is interested, he is eager to read. I bought him several of these books to pique his interest and they have. In my last phone call with him he recited the titles of all the books I bought him and thanked me for buying them. They are difficult to find in stores, so Amazon is the easiest way to buy.

My 4-year old daughter loves superman, and this is currently one of her favorite books. She has certain pages memorized. Above her reading level, so I just read it to her... but still simple enough to help her start picking up on a few repetitive words.

This paperback book was in great shape and offered many nice photos for my 5 year old to look at. The words were clear and my son was able to sound out most of them on his own.

The only real complaint I have is the overal cost once shipping was added. For such a small and light item I would expect cheaper options. Buying this type of book at a toy store or book shop is most likely the more affordable option.

I Am Superman is an I Can Read book made specially for young readers ages 4-8, and is features the iconic DC Comics Superhero. In this story, Lois Lane tells Clark Kent she has the best headline for the Daily Planet front page and she's not telling Clark. Little does Lois knows that Clark is really Superman and is the subject of Lois' story. Later, Supes travels with Lois to his secret Fortress of Solitude and tells to Lois of his life story. All the sudden, Lex Luthor terroizes Metropolis with his machines and demands to face Superman, but Supes flies back to the city to defeat Luthor. What I really like about the book is how Superman's costume is just perfect, and not been tainted by DC's New 52 abomination. I Am Superman is perfect for children who are devoted fans of the Last Son Of Krypton!

He wanted Santa to bring him Superman books and a hulk action figure. He was very excited to see this. Seems simple enough for him to read. (He was five)

My son loves all these "I can Read" superhero books. He is five years old and we read them aloud. I do question this being a level 2 reader. Some of the wording would be difficult for a first grader, even a second grader. It is not a phonetically based reader, but it makes a great read aloud or a book to read with your child, and best of all-it's about Superman!
