Purchased these for my daughter's 15th birthday and she loves them! She's very tall and the socks fit up to just below the knee. The cape is sewn on, so handwashing will be the way to go. The socks are a bit thin, but they're novelty socks and only being worn for show. We're both pleased!

I bought these for my 16 yr old daughter for her first 5k run. She is as lazy as they come for a teen and I was willing to do anything to get her active. THIS WORKED! She ran around our house for over 30 minutes (even at age 16). She did say she wished the capes were wider and I have to agree but she was still very excited and is actually excited for her first 5k now.

You cannot see the sparkles on the photo here, but the superman logo was glittery thread in it. Keep this in mind when ordering for a boy.
