This review is from: Superman Vs. Aliens Book 2 (Comic)
When I finished reading the first book in this series I immediately got online and ordered this one. The battle is between the horrific creatures in the "Alien" and "Aliens" movies and an energy-depleted Superman. Using a spacecraft supplied by Lex Luthor's corporation, Superman has responded to a distress signal in the Kryptonian language. It is from a city that survived the horror of Krypton exploding, only now it is facing another grave danger. The powerful creatures of the "Alien(s)" movies are attacking the city and are overwhelming the defenses.
Because he has now spent some time away from the nourishing rays of the yellow sun, Superman's powers are in decline so he has a difficult time fighting off their attacks. He is aided in his fight by Kara, one of the few survivors of the struggles in the Kryptonian city. Unfortunately, Superman has sent some wounded Kryptonians to Earth and they are infected with the creatures. Therefore, he has unwittingly introduced them into the near Earth environment. This is a great story with a spectacular set of cliffhangers at the end, both in a space station orbiting Earth and in the Kryptonian city. As soon as I complete and post this review I will be ordering the third book is this series. I have to know how the story ends. |
