For fans of SUPERNATURAL, this series of Official Companion books is exactly what it claims to be: an excellent partner to the shows themselves, sharing with the reader the behind-the-scenes work that goes into the making of this addictive TV show. This fourth volume follows the same formula as the previous three: a synopsis and discussion of every episode, a generous helping of color photos featuring the cast, plenty of black and white photos spread throughout the book, essays on the various monsters that populate the season, discussions about the show's crew, and chapters on the season's main characters (featuring comments by the actors who played them.)

This book is fun to read and author Nicholas Knight does a very good job of bringing context and depth to the material included. It's worth noting that these books do not shy away from the cast, creators, or crew taking a critical view of their work as well as sometimes praising it, which helps to add dimension to the experience of discovering what makes this show tick. You will also find a complete cast listing for every episode.

One word of caution: don't read this book until you've seen the shows. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the fifth volume in the series. The journey of Sam and Dean Winchester continues to be a fascinating one to follow and this book adds additional layers to the paths they traverse. Enjoy!

Love this book. Full of insight and interesting facts and info. A wonderful addition to the DVD.

These season guides are always at their best when producers, directors and actors are sharing their insights and this edition has plenty of good stuff on Supernatural's 4th season. On the weaker side, we get costume designers, set designers, etc, giving us a little too much detail on the stresses of finding the perfect rain coat, etc. I found this to be an easy read and I actually learned a few things in the process. If you like the show, get the book, too

This book was great. If you watch the show, you have to have this book! The best part about that is that one comes out for every season.

Hi to everyone reading this page.Supernatural is something I have always loved since it started and I still love now and always will.I consider myself more than just a fan.For every fan or huge fan of the show I would highly recommend that all the supernatural books and everything else should be bought because all the Supernatural items will be more than worth getting.Supernatural is the best thing that ever happend to me and its something that I will never forget.I fully support Supernatural and if you never watched it or have never been apart of it,then I will highly suggest you to watch it and see what you think of it.The two main stars Jarad Padalecki and Jensen Ackles and everybody envolved in the making of Supernatural have done a really fantastic job.Just to finish off I cant praise the Supernatural show highly enough bacause its beyond praise.Its the best show ever and the honest truth is I dont watch anything else because I dont care about any other programme or film.Who wouldnt want to watch two super hot guys in an impala and hunting evil beings and saving the world.You would be nuts not to want to watch it and to get everything from the dvds to books to everything connected with the show.Thanks to everyone reading this page.I hope you stay a fan of the show for life like me.

IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE SHOW THEN YOU WILL BE A FAN OF THESE YEARLY BOOKS. THE AUTHOR, NICHOLAS KNIGHT DOES ANOTHER EXCELLENT JOB DETAILING SEASON 4 ON THIS VERY GOOD SHOW ON CW. EACH EPISODE IS ANALYZED ALONG WITH COMMENTS FROM THE ACTORS AND WRITERS AS TO WHAT THEY THOUGHT OF THE EPISODE ALONG WITH THE MUSIC SCORES USED AND SOME FUNNY DIALOG USED ON THAT EPISODE. IN SOME EPISODES THE CREATURE OR SPIRIT USED IS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT IT IS AND FROM WHAT LEGEND IT WAS CREATED. ALL THE MAIN CHARACTERS AND THE ACTORS WHO PLAYED THEM ARE ALSO INTERVIEWED TO DISCUSS WHAT THE CHARACTER ENDURED THAT SEASON AND WHAT IT WAS LIKE BEING PART OF THE CAST ON THIS WELL MADE AND CONSISTENTLY ENTERTAINING SHOW.

Like all of the 'Supernatural' companions so far, this is perfectly adequate, though I would like to hear more from creator Eric Kripke about the inspirations for some of the big mythology leaps in this series (the best so far.) These are all a no-brainer for 'Supernatural' fans, and how can I criticize anything that has lots of pics of Jensen Ackles? (Yes, I'm too old to be a fangirl, but SQUEEE! regardless.)
