This book gives you all the things that were missing from the original Supernatural RPG Guide. It expands on certain creatures that you'll use regularly in the game and gives you stats for characters like Castiel, Ruby and even the Ghostfacers, who will add to any serious Supernatural game.

The foreword from the Ghostfacers was funny and well written, plus the added information on Angels, Ghosts, Demons and the like expanded things nicely from what we already knew in the show. After five seasons of this show, it was great to finally have the chance to add in characters that I'd grown to love or hate and even have the chance to relive an episode with my own spin on things.

This was the book I had been waiting for since I had bought the original guide. Well worth getting your hands on!

If you have the basic rules for the Supernatural roleplaying game - which is a pretty good system, actually - then this is a worthy addition. The system is a bit like a basic Palladium/rift model. This book is additional rules and characters and weapons, plots and badguys. Well written in the spirit of the series, it gives people the option of being hunters, angels, demons, etc, and battling all manner of bad guys with weapons both mundane and magical. Even has a list of music to play to get in Sam and Dean Winchester mode. Fun.

... I found this an interesting reference anyway. The style is conversational (parts read like Dean himself wrote them), the design is attractive, the scope quite broad. (Everything from Buru Buru to serial killers are covered). There is a lot packed into what is a fairly slim volume. It's not meant to be a comprehensive guide to the supernatural but it is a useful introduction and I have enjoyed reading it just for my own interest. I especially enjoyed the entries on the angels and the colour illustrations add a nice touch. So, basically, this has something for any Supernatural fan, not just those who play the game.
