5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!!!!! +++++
If I had to chose a CD to be burried with THIS would be IT!! AND I have an EXTENSIVE music/dance libraryThese compositions were good enough to make the journey from vinyl to 8 track to CD. Superb production. I do not know if this is the original from 1977,if so, the evolution of dance music can be heard on this one CD. It has touches of rock, tenchno, latin and disco all...

Superb production. I do not know if this is the original from 1977,if so, the evolution of dance music can be heard on this one CD. It has touches of rock, tenchno, latin and disco all wrapped together! To me this was the begining of REAL mixed dance music. I remember because I was burning my shoes, on the dance floor, at that time. The sound recording is of VERY high quality. You can hear it move from speaker to speaker. The beat is great! This is NOT just the usual dance CD you can ACUTALLY listen to this one as well and ENJOY it!DO NOT MISS IT :) A PURE CLASSIC!

5.0 out of 5 stars Salvadorean Guy "Chuck", October 19, 2005
This review is from: Supernature - Cerrone 3 (Audio CD)
At the beggining, I was very sceptical about purchasing this CD. The only thing I knew about Cerrone is that he used to be a Hairdresser back in France and I thought, what in the world a Hairdresser has to be compossing and creating music? . Don't get me wrong, I know people sometimes have special hidden talents and that's what happened with Cerrone, his music is the real essence of the disco era and I'm not dissapointed AT ALL..... One of the things I liked about this CD is the non-stop fashion from tracks number 3 and up.
I highly recommend to all of you who like REAL disco music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Transition album, May 23, 2004

"Supernature" obviously marks the point that Cerrone was in a transition period after the succesfull Love in C Minor and Cerrone's Paradise.

The title track is clearly inspired by the German synth sound from Giorgio Mororder and Pete Belotte. This album also features one of Cerrone's best (known) songs: Give Me Love. The song has since then sees many reincarnations, but I think the version on this album is the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars This album is a must for anyone into 70's nostalgia., December 9, 1998

This review is from: Supernature (Audio CD)
Supernature( his third album)features an irresistable beat and the gritty and seductive vocals of his background singers on the title track, which you pray will never end. When it does, however, you are let down in an almost post-coital daze with Sweet drums and In the smoke. The rest of the tracks are also worthy of note, but the true star is the full length version of Supernature. Worth the cost of this CD at any price. Original, innovative, inspiring and a true classic for all who remember the real face of the 70's. Sweat, bump, grind and elation. It's all here. Breath-taking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Disco, October 10, 2006
This review is from: Supernature (Audio CD)
Cerrone has been a force in music for many years, and this album/cd is absolutely superb,1970's Euro-Disco at it's best. Powered by synthesized roars and cries of animals, side one is a warning to man about his wasteful ways which resonates even stronger today. The haunting main theme weaves in and out over plaintive vocals that crescendo's into an extended synth drum extravaganza, then drops out into a slow melancholy refrain at the end. Side two is sheer exuberance from beginning to end as the beat never stops. Cerrone, aided by his chorus absolutely rocks the beat. A MUST FOR ANY SERIOUS COLECTOR OF DANCE MUSIC.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have!!, July 28, 2004
This review is from: Supernature - Cerrone 3 (Audio CD)
If you are a REAL disco fan; and I'm not talking about all of you radio listening Bee Gees fans; this CD is a must have. Give Me Love is one of a few 70's disco club anthems that got everyone up on the floor. And ya gotta Give Don Ray Love for his synth work, especially on the title track.

5.0 out of 5 stars Supernature, May 14, 2002

This is one great cd. If you are into great dance music then this one is for you. The entire cd runs as one continuous track and it keeps you moving throughout it's almost 40 minutes of music. Cerrone is a musical genius and with this selection you can see why. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could but that is the limit here. I loved it back in the seventies, when it was originally released and i love it more now. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars DISCO MASTERPIECE, January 17, 2012
This review is from: Cerrone 3: Supernature (Audio CD)
Cerrone's "SUPERNATURE", released in 1977, not only capitalized on the growing Disco phenomenon, it also scaled new heights for Cerrone as an artist.

"SUPERNATURE" starts with the title track and it needs to introduction. It's a timeless classic that has been sampled, imitated and inspired a whole new sound for Disco music. It's a hard hitting Disco song, with a pulsating beat that will get you moving, like it or not. "Give Me Love" is similarly styled and followed the title track to the top of the Disco charts. "In the Smoke" and "Love is the Answer" do not differ much from the over all feel of the album, making the album consistent. 35 years after its initial release, SUPERNATURE sounds as fresh and vital today as it did back in the late 70's.

For any Disco aficionado and/or collector, this is simply a must. BBR, as always, delivers the goods in high style. The sound is out of this world, the original album artwork front and back, is here, and the liner notes are fascinating and include an interview with Cerrone himself. This is an essential re-master for any Dance music lover.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Disco Music Ever - Bar None, March 13, 2009
By
This review is from: Supernature (Audio CD)
If there's one single track that defines the '60s it's "Whiter Shade Of Pale" by Procul Harum.

If any record defines the '70s then it's this.

It is so totally what the period was about. In every way it emotes, for those who were there, the feeling and the essence of being in a disco at the height of that era.

Turn down the lights, turn up the amp and enjoy...

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly progressive. Brilliant. Timeless., April 24, 2008
This review is from: Supernature - Cerrone 3 (Audio CD)
Many reviewers here have commented on the fact that this is a classic. Brilliant percussion, vocals and arrangements. I find it interesting that someone mistook this as a prog-rock album based on its cover (Cerrone was known for his controversial covers). Though it is not prog-rock, its title track represents a sci-fi story and thematic arrangement that is truly progressive in spirit. Beyond the imagination of some of the best prog artists :). I was only 5 when this came out, and I am still blown away by how musically relevant it remains. It is not just a great Disco record, it is a masterpiece!
