It's an empty spray bottle that you fill with water. Does the job of keeping my slide moving when it gets dry.

An empty spray bottle that you fill with water, small enough to carry onto stage, big enough that you only have to fill it up once a month. Good quality - doesn't pack up after a month or so unlike many home-made replacements. Great in combination with slide cream to keep your slide lightning-fast.

This works great with the superslick slide cream. it gives a nice light mist. IT IS JUST AN EMPTY BOTTLE. You have to buy the slide cream, too. (which by the way, is incredible.) i would recommend this (with the slide cream!) to any trombonist who wants a smoothly moving slide.

Ok, I got suckered. I bought the Superslick cream, and saw this thinking it was the same thing, but in a liquid form for quick applications. Uhhh...NO! No, it's not.The products description claims: 2oz compactly (sic) bottle with sprayer cap Convenient pocket size Creates smooth action Help maintain quiet operation While the first two claims are true the (sans the spelling errors), there is no way in L' this product will create a smooth action or help maintain quiet operation. I know that I shouldn't expect much for $3.50, but the SuperSlick SC1 Trombone Cream was only a buck 89, so I did expect something more than an empty bottle. I could have dug through my recycle bin and found one of those. It's not worth the hassle of returning, otherwise I'd do so. So, this is your warning. If you assume this is a bottle of spray lube based upon the sellers product description, well we all know about the word ASSume......don't we. Edit. Since my first review, it looks like they've lowered the price for this item to a buck 99, but still don't mention it's only an empty bottle. |
