The Solano is alright, I guess, if you just want a basic hair dryer. It's not particularly light or quiet which were two of the features that I was interested in. Also, it's not ionic and takes a long time to dry hair. My hair is not that thick and it took a good while to dry it, much longer than my regular drugstore Conair, which I went back to after returning this thing. And it didn't leave it very shiny either. For the price, I would go with a different dryer, unless you've used this product and know that you like it.

I borrowed my sister-in-law's hairdryer while visiting her and fell in love with this hairdryer. I immediately came home and bought one on Amazon.com. I have very thick hair and it normally takes a long time to dry. This blowdryer is very fast drying and has all the settings you could ever need. The cord is super-long. This comes in very handy when trying to dry my two year old's hair as she moves all over the bathroom! It's a little heavy, but that's the price you pay for the power in it. I don't find it uncomfortable in any way. I highly recommend this hairdryer and am hoping that it lasts. I have only had it 2 months so far. Last time I got my haircut, I realized that my hairdresser was using the same hairdryer on me and the place I go to actually sells them (but it was slightly more than what I paid on Amazon).

Solano is the best hair dryer on the market. You may pay more, but you are getting a product that will last a long time. I bought this model to replace an older Solano model that finally wore out after 26 years of daily use. I have long thick hair and the Solano hair dryer does a wonderful job of drying without having to stop to cool down. It's worth the money.
