Good back in the day Christian CD,
By
This review is from: Supersonic Dream Day (Audio CD)
I remember getting this tape probably back in 93 or somethin like that. I was in middle school. I loved Christian music CDs and I remember "Supersonic Dream Day"'s video used to play on TBN all the time. My favorite song on the CD is the 1st track tho..."Let it Take You"....I love the beat and the sound of that track specifically.

Faith expressed with a lot of fun,

This album is fun to listen to. This was Ian (pronounced 'EE-un'?) back in his dance music days, before he turned to Brit pop. However, the lyrics were a bit watery.

Quality Christian Dance Album!,

Here is an overlooked little gem of an album that I have enjoyed for many years. There isn't a bad track on the disc, and Ian's tunes are very catchy and will stay in your head. If I ever get fit enough to teach an exercise class, I will be sure to use several songs off this album to move to! The songs are infectious, but you could also put it on as happy background music if you're cleaning or typing a term paper. I like techno and dance music, but you don't always want something industrial-sounding. This is more like pop-dance, so if you're looking for something to play at a rave, this ain't it. One thing I can say for him is that Ian does have very Christian lyrics, which are inspriational and challenging. For example, in "Get live, get loud," the chorus reads "Get live, get loud... get serious, or just get out... get live, get loud, turn it up, or tune it out." This is just the kind of gentle kick that I so often need, to remind me I am supposed to be producing "good fruit" for God in my life. I love the use of different instruments on this album. The sound bytes on Amazon sound pretty good, but tend to cut off right as the chorus is starting. Numbers 2, 7, and 8 will give you a pretty good idea of the tone of the album, but know that some of the best parts get cut off. To me, Ian seems like a guy you'd meet at Bible Study... or a big brother. Very sincere, and it's obvious he really enjoys making music. It's too bad that he didn't earn more fame in music circles, he certainly was well-deserving of critical praise. Thanks for an album that is like a friend to me, Ian!!!

Not A Favorite,
By A Customer
This review is from: Supersonic Dream Day (Audio CD)
This CD by Ian is cool, but is not one of my favorite CDs, because I like faster and "louder" types of music. I do not recommend this CD if you like Christian rock, however you may enjoy this CD if you like slower songs with a slight hip-hop beat. The main song on this CD, "Supersonic Dream Day", focuses on when Jesus will come back. It also talks about how people predict that he will come on a certain day, but he will be coming like a theif in the night. This CD has cool lyrics, but is not my favorite type of music.
