***WARNING!***
DO NOT BUY THIS FOR LISTENING TO MUSIC!
It has a tinny sounding speaker with virtualy no bass response.

So, why did I give this a five star rating? I bought this radio because I wanted a battery operated radio for news and sports. Plus it has a clock function.

**PROS**
+Small, yet solid. It measures 4 3/4 x 3 x 1 1/2 inches. It easily fits into a shirt pocket.

+Good battery life. I currently have fifty plus hours on two AA alkaline batteries and it is still going strong.

+Inexpensive. $14.99 + $6.00 s/h.

+Telescoping antenna. Convenient and much preferred over separate wire antennas.

+Good signal reception. It has an analog dial with digital lcd readout. No problems with signal drift so far.

+Easy to use clock and alarm functions. I recommend turning up the volume for the alarm since the tinny sound will irritate you into waking up.

+It has a backlight function that is simple and adequate.

+For news and sports, the speaker sounds fine.

+My earbuds work in mono in both ear pieces. (Much better sound for music.) It does have some low end static hum though.

+Although it is top-heavy with the antenna extended, it is easily remedied by laying the unit on its back. Or you can use the spring loaded flap on the back for the same purpose.

**CONS**

-Not suited for music. If I want music, I have a home stereo, an mp3 and a Sangean PDR-5 for music.

-The battery compartment lid, that does stay attached, is too loose. It is not a major issue. It should snap in more tightly though.

-No station presets. It is, after all, an analog dial. I did not expect that function anyway.

**SUMMARY**

It is a solid little radio suited for news and sports with good battery life. Even though it has tinny sound, this little fella has grown on me. I am happy with it so far, even though I've only had it for a week. If a problem or malfunction occurs, I will update.

+With two lesser expensive Rayovac alkaline AA cells, I got over 190 hours of usable radio time! In my opinion, that is very good battery life!

I ordered this radio for my mother, when she got it and installed bateries it did not work, sister in law also tried with different batteries no luck, I was offered a prepaid label to mail back (already spent $6.00 shipping fee) or was offered a partial credit, which I said I would take, and never heard from the company again!!!!

After installing the batteries the light and clock worked but the radio itself would not turn on...

It has alot of functions for the money, so probably would have been OK value had it turned on...

This an ideal little radio. Sound is good. Takes up little space.
Battery life is great for a little radio. Glad I bought it.

I got this mini radio to use in my bathroom.
It is difficult if not impossible to get stations I have previously gotten with other radios. Once I do get a station, it wanders and I hear oher sations near it at the same time. The sound is also bery tinny
