5.0 out of 5 stars very good
A very good album - and better than any other Shola Ama album so far. The first tracks like "My future" and "Emancipation" are very much Soul. Shola Ama in her known D'Influence style. But she also offers new sides. The album has a very electronic touch. A highlight is e.g. "Electro high". So this time it's a bit like Kraftwerk meets UK Soul.

3.0 out of 5 stars sweet shola
shola was taunted as the next british r&b superstar in the late 90's. She's been compared to Faith Evans. i really like her vocal style she doesn't go overboard with the usual soul riffing and vocal histronics.
this cd is mostly filled with harmonius midtempo tracks.

stand out tracks are
this i promise u, sym4ony, u &me, here on earth,blood...

5.0 out of 5 stars British R'n'B at it's Best (Yes, I just said that!!!), July 16, 2003

I would describe this album as..... Edgey..Intense...futuristic, with a heavy dose of UK style funk. This album shows UK R'n'B at its best, so why just a release in Japan?? Anyway, lets not detract from the fact that this is a well-written and wonderfully produced album from one of the UK's premier female R'n'B vocalists. The album takes you on a seductively rhythmic journey from the swaying "My Future" to the futuristic, bass heavy "Electro High (Supersonic)" it is a rotation-heavy collection of serious soul that is sweet on the ears, yet deep on the funk. Even with the Import price, this is a must buy that you can't go wrong with...you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shola returns with a more mature sound, August 27, 2002

The third album of my beloved Shola Ama has a far mature sound to it. The first track called Emancipation, it's an amazing track which reminds a lot of Rodney Jerkins and Shola sounds like Jennifer Lopez. It gives you a sort of taster of what to expect from the rest of the record with it's great rnb rhythm. Symphony (a duet with a young male british singer called Danny K) and Here on Earth are very beautiful ballads with great vocals from Shola. At the end the title track of the album called Supersonic brings a slight rocky feel with it, very discoteque and funky. The album produced by the Ignorants and D'Influence and this is personally my overall favourite album from Shola!
