My son is obsessed with airplanes and helicopters, so we thought this would be a great gift for him for Christmas and we were right! It's a little complicated for him at this age to construct any of the aircraft without help, but he loves to make all sorts of other things with the pieces as does my 5 1/2 year old daughter. I love the fact that their using their imaginations and are so proud of the things they build. I definitely recommend this toy and will look into purchasing other Superstructs sets.

We bought this set for our 4-year-old grandson for Christmas. We also purchased the Superstructs Starter Set. He is always building something and the Superstructs is a great addition to his construction sets. Within 30 minutes he had built something totally unique and incorporated pieces from his other sets. The set seems durable. He enjoys it very much and we are very pleased with the purchase.

My four year old is excited every day to create a new vehicle or airplane. He likes following the instructions and making his own creations. This has been a good toy for motor skills and creativity.

Gave this to my 5 year old grandson for Christmas as he is facinated with airplanes. He has really enjoyed playing with this and building different planes.

I really wanted to like this toy. My 4 year old son couldn't do much with it to make any of the sample projects so my husband had a go at it. When I heard his grumbles of frustration I came and took over. I finally got the thing built but it was very rickety and as soon as our son started to play with it it fell apart. You should know that both of us are designers and very very handy so this is not in any way a personal flaw. I would think this would be an educational toy but if was only really a lesson in family frustration. Not Fun At All. My husband said that real tinker toys had these issues worked out so at least the pegs stayed in the holes and didn't fall apart like this ...Junk. Sadly truly a flawed design.

I have an 11 y/o, and an 8 y/o. We sat down when we got it, and were very excited to play with it. At first I saw the 8 year old frustration building up, so I started helping, and then I saw my self helping my 11 year old with it too, at the end both weren't interested in it. The toy is educational, you can build several items, but sometimes you have to be careful with the sticks. They look like durable, but I don't know for how long. Any how the Toy is Educational, but just not interesting enough.
