Note that personal copies will not be allowed in the exam room. New copies will be supplied at the exam site.

I'll admit that this book is pricey on Amazon, but if you do a simultaneous check with the NCEES website, the price ends up around the same when you factor in shipping. Here's the catch though, though "cheaper" for the book itself, in my experience, the NCEES website has a longer processing time. When I got an FE study guide from them a few months back, it took close to an extra week before I could get the guide. As it happens, the shipping was done as stated within 3-5 business days, but it was the actual processing of the order that was cause for the delay.
My advice, if you need the book ASAP, get it from Amazon, their shipping and order processing is reliable. If you have some time to spare, go through NCEES.org. Also given the nature of the exam, a downloadable copy would be a good overview but you will not have access to a PC for the Exam so getting used to the paperback version seems more logical.
This review is based off of recent FE exam preparation/testing just fyi.

I used this manual to study for the EIT/FE exam by getting familiar with where the formulas, definitions were at. Once the test arrived, I took the test, and scrolled to whichever page I needed to go to, and got the formulas right away... If you are planning on taking the FE exam, I highly recommend buying this manual, unless they change editions.. :)
