Well, Windows 7 either has drivers on the disk, or can immediately download them from Microsoft. (I forget which.) I can't imagine that this wouldn't work in Windows 8; their drivers are almost identical.
This is fully supported by Windows 8.1 (cannot say about Win8, but I would think the same). I connected the receiver, detected it was an Xbox 360 Receiver, installed correct drivers automatically, linked wireless controller, drivers automatically installed and detected controller.
Angelo, there's no way. Xbox 360 controllers DO NOT WORK on Windows 8.1 I've been searching every forum possible and especially on Microsoft's, there are a ton of complaints and they won't say when they are updating the drivers to work with 8.1 They just keep saying to try Windows 7 compatibility mode but that doesn't work either. I'm not the only one saying this, it's on every pc gaming forum, especially on xbox's and microsoft's. Believe me, I'm super upset after buying a new 8.1pc a few weeks ago and then finding this out
