I bought one of these and it looked pretty sturdy, and I was hoping to get a lot of juice out of my lemons. Well, on lemon number 2, first half, this thing broke at the hinge, completely. I do work out and have a pretty good grip, but I shouldn't be able to break something designed to be squeezed by the human hand. I'm not very strong compared to, say, a professional body builder or football player. I'm just average-Joe strong. I actually saw two people about twice my age (I'm 36), doing at least twice the weight I do on a couple of exercies yesterday--one of whom was a woman. So I'm guessing that there are some grandmas out there that could break one of these without trying. By the way, after my observations yesterday at the gym, I should warn you to not underestimate how strong your grandma is, you may get surprised!

Unless you are have a muscular degeneration disease, don't get one of these. I'm debating taking it back though, because I basically have 2 pretty nice acrylic paper weights for my desk now, each costing only about 6 bucks.
